I just played all my songs on my pc with winamp in the shuffle function and I came across this album
I listened to this album a lot 2 years ago and now I taste the sadness of this record again, although it is about sadness and grief it somehow gives me a good feeling, maybe because it is a very good record, I dunno
I know he went through a terrible period when he wrote this record but in spite of that it still gives me a good feeling..
he really knows how to put emotions into sounds
anyone else who likes this record?

have you read what inspired him to write those songs? his whole family started dying one by one all within a year all in bizarre ways, plane crashes, driving accidents etc. its a bit odd.

his mother died of cancer. his sister committed suicide (that's what the first song "Elizabeth on the bathroom floor" is about).
it's one of the best albums I have ever heard.

he uses samples in such an incredible way.
"electro-shock blues" is just very honest and upfront, which makes it lighter than you might expect. that, plus that the record has some very funny moments, makes it special.
my favourites have to be "efil's god" and "the medication is wearing off".

I never noticed the similarity of this album and BoC
even the backwards beat trick is in this record

the "backwards beat trick" is one of the most obvious things anyone can do - that doesn't take that much imagination..

I remember I watched the video Last Stop, This Town back in the days on the good old Chillout zone, and that song got me into this record
bless the chill-out zone
