When I was young, my favourite wrestlers were Mr Perfect and
The Texas Tornado. My favourite tag-team were the Hart
Foundation.

Currently the Dudely Boys. Piledriving old ladies through
tables is comedic genius.

It's all about Black Jack Mulligan. Nobody else, only Black
Jack Mulligan.

Tiger Mask is cool. He reminds of that incredibly awesome
Tecmo Wrestling for NES. There were big cinematic scenes for
every power move. Pretty fucking cool for 8 bit hardware.

Macho Man Randy Savage, Ultimate Warrior, Legion of Doom
were all cool when I was 8yo or something..... yeah

oriental wrestlers are the coolest with all their ariel
acrobatics & such..... Hulk Hogan was a cock. what was going
on with the Nature Boy.... "Wooooooooooo" ..... he always
looked like he should be in the retirement home or
something.

I remember piledriving a mate into a concrete patio slab
when I was about 9, he cried & thought that I had given him
serious neck trauma..... therefore I would have to say
wrestling is a bad influence on kids & should be banned,
it's about time we let the youth of today see what can
really happen if you stamp on someones head, no more
dressing up violence in frilly underwear & making it into
family entertainment....... Ultimate Fighting Campionship
anyone?.... people need to know the truth.

WWE is under new ownership isn't it? They are turning all
the wrestlers into good ol american boys, even the once
gothic undertaker looks like a fucking country and western
star now. I stopped watching that shit around '94 but still
know plenty people into it. Jerry Lawler and Ric Flair where
the best, Bobby Heenan's commentary was great too.

You won't see anyone remotely gay in the WWE if Ted Turner
owns it.

I have watched a little WWE RAW and SMACKDOWN recently, and
did notice a lack of Vince McMahon - so, who is the new
owner?

vince is still the owner of wwe, and he made an appearance
at the most recent smackdown show, something to do with
proving that kurt angle wasn't actually injured.

Oh, I did see the SMACKDOWN prior to that -- there was a
cage match between Eddie Guerrero and some other person, and
then Kurt Angle dressed up as the Mexican National Champion
(whilst apparently suffering a leg injury) and won the match
for the other.

Yeah, the story lines have been crap recently. And Brock
Lesner left before he got his comeuppance. I don't bother
with it anymore.

offline Jacob from United States on 2004-07-28 12:53 [#01288789]

Both Lesnar and Bill Goldberg both got a stunner from Steve
Austin. Oddly enough, that would be the last time all three
men would be seen in a WWE ring together. I believe Goldberg
took to Japan, Lesnar to NFL tryouts and Steve Austin to
parts unknown.

I dunno, when i was younger i used to like this
back-flipping, fire-breathing dude in a flamboyant costume.
I wonder what that says about me.

...not so sure about guys in flamboyant costumes, but I used
to admire the Japanese wrestler Hakushi, who had a lot of
Kanji symbols painted over his face.

Bah, watching wrestling is a world of ten years plus ago for
me. I remember this fat dude who had a kind of spider-ish
mask on too, he seemed pretty cool at the time. And my mum
took me to see british bulldog live once when i was about 8,
it was hilarious :D

Brock Lesnar got signed by the Minnesota Vikings just
yesterday. It'll be interesting to see how he does there...
I expect him to be back in the WWE within the next 2 years.
