Greetings... I am going on a 10 day driving/ camping/ hiking holiday around Norway in a week... can anyone from Bergen (or from anywhere in Norway who knows Bergen) let me know of a good hostel in the town centre, possibly near Lars Hillesgate (the Avis office is on Lars Hillesgate)? Oh, and any good gigs going on in Norway between the 5th and the 14th of August? Cheers! (bring on the fjords!) |

yeah.. Lars Hilles gate is very central, so any hotel in town will probably do... Since I live in Bergen, I have never actually stayed in a hotel here, but I once worked at the Scandic Hotel behind the cinema.. it was cleaner than most hotels, but I don't know about prices... I know of a "Hotel Park Pension" right where I work, but I don't know if it's good or not... neither of the hotels are far from Avis... I don't know how old you are, but if you're planning on going out while in Bergen, I recommend Kvarteret, Den Stundesløse, Baran, Finnegans, Hulen or Garage... I do, however, like kind of sit-down places, so if you want party; Ovenpå or Exodus/Ditlef |
