I don't know what you're trying to say, one article says there are mass graves dating from the 80s (when dear departed Ronnie was giving uncle Saddam a helping hand), but gives no figures. And then the Guardian report says that the figure of 300,000 bodies in mass graves isn't backed by any evidence. Is that why you're crying, because the "news" is conflicting and contradictory?

it is obvious that saddam has murdered loads of ppl, and somewhere he has got chemical weapons - you just dont get rid of it it like that, besides, he was using it constantly. therefore, saddam is prick, and he should be tortured.

this from a dream will become reality, if US goverment will do what is doing right now. or, what could be worse, we will have another saddam, the 3 world of islam is full of wacko's which are ready to start nuclear holocaust.

oh look.. it's an abbreviation of libra, which means "A unit of weight in ancient Rome equivalent to about 12 ounces."
an ounce is 28.35, so that's 340 grams. um..

if america switched over to the metric system, every machine in every factory, every ruler in every school, every program on every computer in every university lab in america would need to be either replaced or recalibrated... not to mention all the re-learning all the people would have to do.
...ok, maybe that's slightly exagerated, but it'd be expensive and time consuming.
that said, i think it needs to be done.

if you grew up with it.. it's a bit like how we keep track of time- there's 60 seconds in a minute, 60 minutes make an hour, 24 hours make a day, 7 days make a week, 4 weeks a month, 12 months a year.
sounds pretty illogical if you haven't grown up with it, especially as almost everything else uses a 10-number system.

I wonder if we used bulldozers to dig another grave site to burry the 10,000 Iraqi civilians we killed in the bombings?
If you want to feel some compassion for the Iraqi's think about the fact that they are still living under a hostile regime, there are no jobs, no civilian infrastructure and if they do decide to try to latch on to the US-Backed-Govt teat, they have a very good chance of being blown up while waiting in line for their spiffy new uniforms.

drawing a 1 to 1 comparison between the people that saddam had brutalized and killed durring his 30 year rule, and the people who were unintentional casualties of the recent war is IMO a false analogy, if not complete and utter bullshit.
it's horrible that people died who had nothing to do with saddam's policies... people like that probably formed 75% of the iraqi army. that's trully shitty. but (also IMO) taking no action against saddam was costing VASTLY more lives ALL of which were innocent people, who were being starved out by saddam because of sactions that were being enforced by the entire world through the UN. i don't think it's as simple as no war = no loss of innocent life. and it's tons easier to blame the people who do take action instead of realizing that by turning a blind eye to the situation a lot more people are dying a lot more slower misserable deaths.
check out darour. maybe if we ignore that nobody will get hurt either.
ok, and with that i'm done talking politics on this board.

Ok so now they are bombed out and starving? Big improvement! And don't forget we didn't go there to liberate those terrorists, uh I mean people- we did it because they had Weapons of Mass Destruction! The drivel you are blindly reciting is Bush's lame-assed attempt to justify the war when they couldn't even come up with a half-empty can of raid in the whole frigging country.
And yeh, what about the Congo and Rwanda? We'll be there as soon as they strike oil.
I'm sure the european members of XL are plenty tired of this argument, but I don't think you all realize how close this asshole is to getting re-elected. It's not only economicly, environmently and pollitcally horrible- IT'S FUCKING EMBARRASSING!!!
