what should i use? i am on PC. i don't want spyware. i don't wanna pay anything or register for anything. i just want a link to a site with a p2p program that i can use for downloading movies.
i used kazaa lite in the past but i was searching around and it looks like you have to register or something to use it now???
doesn't look like the good ole kazaa lite i used in the past and, unfortunately, erased from my machine.

Couple of points- make sure your uploads thing is turned up quite high. The default is 4, make it at least 10 or something. 14 works the best for me. The more you share, the faster download speed you get. Also, give it some time... for me, my downloads tend to start at 2kbs or something, and work their way up to 80-100 after a half hour or so. But it differs from person to person.

qrter,
i had a music teacher who looked a lot like Jeffrey Jones. Particularly the role he played in 'Stay Tuned'. I tried to find a picture of him somewhere to post it but I couldn't.
Many thanks,

He was great in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", and actually quite good in a similar role in "Who's Harry Crumb?".

Oh darn, I completely overlooked the "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" thread. What a great flick.
Anyway, to not further hijack this thread; I use Shareaza for downloading my bittorrent files, seems to work well, except for the rather large number of dead bittorrent links that is. It's also good for downloading the "hard to get" TV-series. I recently obtained the pilot episode of American Gothic, which I used to love at the time, and surprisingly it kinda stood the test of time too.

I use shareaza to download each new episode of the fourth season of Six Feet Under, almost the day after it airs first in the US. well, it takes a few days to download.. but still..
I'm almost up to speed with the US and they haven't even broadcasted the third series over here. :)

No need to register with this version. I still get some films from this, and my friend told me kazaa lite is great for downloading porn, but I wouldn't know about that ahem..

You only install bittorrent....then you should find some sites hosting bittorent files....(probably bitorrent.tk).
Then just pick the files you wish...save to disk...
if you run the bitorrent.torrent file the D/l should start automatically....have fun.....
Used it 2 months before....but im behind a firewall on work...so it doesent seem to work....

Settings can be changed in the D/L window of Bitorrent....there is button with options....!
I don't think there are posibillities to change the speed....it depends on the connection....but BT is very fast.....??!

evolume, try 'Bittornado'. This is a very fine bit torrent download software. It's easy to handle and in my opinion the best one (I tried several different ones).
bittornado
When downloading, keep also in mind, that downloading speed depends also on how many people are online and sharing.
And... it's only fair to leave the download window open after the movie download is completed. If no one does it, no one is able to download either.

well, in this case, try soulseek. Lot's of movies there. And easy to handle. Sometimes a long wait list, but if you donate $ 5 via paypal (you don't have to, but it's worth it!), you are in a cool pole position to download for 30 days
