hmm... i'll have to think about that. anyway, you can be
sure that the recordings will be remixed and mastered and
encoded in better quality in case there'll be an official
netlabel release.

BIYC would almost certainly want to host these for a
netlabel release.

Absolutely lovely, lovely stuff.

Sickeningly nice sounds on there. I wish I could make music
like this :)

Could I use a couple of tracks on my podcast show? You'd be
fully credited and there'd be a link to you on our website.

Where do the acid sounds on "Violence To Fade" come from? Is
that all SH101? Really nice sounds :)

yes, it´s all my good ol' sh-101. remember there´s just 2
synths used - the other one is a jx-3p which is definitely
not able to resonate this way.

podcast show: if you want to use the c:\ - stuff: just go
ahead (this is an official privatelektro mp3 relase). please
do not use that ulrike stuff for it is not finished product
yet (as i wrote: this has to be mixed & mastered first).

btw - you can also check my slsk account for more recordings
me and the privatelektro collective did over the last 10
years:

check privatelektroHQ, this will be temporarily online.

I finally gave the C:\ album a listen last week, excellent
tracks. Shame about the sound problems in a few places. But
still awesome

so:

here´s some more selfmade electro stuff that was done years
ago. it´s two 7"es by BLACKIE that were recorded using
almost NO equipment at all: SH-101, TR-606 and sometimes an
old roland handclap machine (not to forget: lots of ASTRA
beer!).
everything was recorded live directly to 2-track, there has
been NO MIX at all.

there´s two torrents - i hope this works:

blackie torrents

so be invited to DANCE.

Yep, it's working now. I didn't really like the Blackie
stuff as much as the Ulrike Jokiel ones.

gack, if you still haven't been contacted by some netlabels,
they're a bunch of mindless morons.

start your own netlabel. ask 0.99 a track, and you're good
to go...

listening and i just wish the mp3s were better quality :(
would pay moneys etc.

the stuff will propably be released ony my own netlabel one
day, but first the original recordings (4 track portastudio)
have to be mastered and encoded using a higher bitrate.

two things we will definitely not do:

- take money for the download
- release some crappy cd

but... if there´s someone out there interested in doing a
VINYL version of some of th tracks, feel free to contact me.
this would be great stuff for a couple of 7"es, but i am too
lazy to release vinyl.

I've been listening to the ulrike stuff for most of today
and it's still awesome. I can't believe this hasn't been
snapped up by someone and put out on some lovely 12"s by
now.

Its also a very good lesson in showing how much you can do
with not a lot of gear.

Yeah, it's wicked, I listen to it all the time. Dunno why,
but I consider it a bit of a SAW 1 type album. I can't help
but feel if he had been mates with the right people back in
the 90s he'd be a big(ish) techno musician by now. I don't
want to promise anything I can't deliver (nor be inundated
with emails from people wanted to be released), but me and a
mate are slowly but surely working towards starting our own
part-time record label. As I say, I don't want to promise
anything, but if it gets of the ground I (even before gack's
last post) have been giving serious consideration to making
a couple of tracks off this one of the early releases.

cynically i'd say you'd just have missed the latest electro
hype (for ulrike jokiel), though it's not over yet, and
maybe will not go away at all

music this good doesn't need a hype wave to surf in on, it
generates it own hype. the UJ stuff seriously deserves
releasing and will get snapped up by anyone with any sense.

Agreed. This is a classic and it doesn't matter what's "in"
at the time it's released. It'd be well recieved whenever,
whatever the diletantes are into at that given time.

I've been searching through my music folders for about 20
minutes trying to find it, and I think I ended up losing it
when I reformatted my back-up HDD last year. Damnit. Anyway,
if anyone does still have it, let your old pals Marlowe and
Zephyr hear about it, please? I'm suddenly dying to relisten
to this...
