most dvd players are built zone free, they code them after depending on where it is gonna be sold. i found the code for mine on the net... usualy a simple operation to do with the remote. |

yeah... I've also found some info about a firmware-upgrade that should make it region-free, but I'm not sure... if that code you posted doesn't work, and I try installing the firmware-upgrade, and that fucks it up, I'll be in trouble, 'cause the shop can't be held responsible for what I've downloaded and put in my dvd-player... |

I had to do some weird stuff, like opening the dvd-loader, pressing left-arrow and right-arrow at the same time, etc. furny. |

just for general info. I just went down to the store where I bought it and asked if it was possible. They said: "yeah.. if you bought it here, it already is zone-free.. we make them all zone-free before we sell them...", and he also said that they use the patch from apache.org or something, so that should work for you if you own a dvd25, and it isn't alreay zone-free... |
