What do you think?

It's funny how so many people who criticise Bush and call him self serving generally can't argue on any points other than Iraq, and even when they argue about Iraq they are completely ignorant to a lot of the facts.

the only reason why he's not going to those conventions is because they can use that as a political stragedy to hurt him since the presidential election is only a couple months away. what i mean is, he goes, makes his speech but what if they start heckling him during the convention just to use it as a political weapon to simply make him look bad. besides they have been extremely rude and just been dropping bombs at him. i wouldn't go either nothing will come out of it really.

yes, I agree. also the NAACP seems to be getting more and more marginal in it's respresentative spectrum, allowing the bias of it's leadership to try to dictate the political leaning of it's members.

"It's funny how so many people who criticise Bush and call him self serving generally can't argue on any points other than Iraq, and even when they argue about Iraq they are completely ignorant to a lot of the facts. "
1) maybe they had good reason to attack bush with their earlier comments/newsletters.
2) bush was NOT (by a long shot) the first president they heavily and directly offended, though he IS the first president in almost 80 YEARS not to attend the NAACP convention
3) Yes, 80 YEARS. More argument for the fact that he has divided this country in half and he continues to further polarise it every day.
Wether it's catering to the interests of the far right and religous morals, trying to eat away privacy and civil liberties, catering big business, ruining modern trade, rewarding the export of business and restructuring offsea tax havens, destroying the enviroment, going forward with a pre-emptive unilateral war that is now and finally admittedly based on false intelligence (though magically no one is responsible), i could go on for fucking ever. worst president ever. easily.

hmm, I was actually referring to people on this board regarding the Bush bashing, not the NAACP. Maybe I didn't make that clear enough for you to understand.
With regard to your overly emotive use of language and seeming lack of knowledge regarding past presidents who, whilst not getting the media coverage Bush has got, have been equally as self serving, I suggest you actually research some of your country's history.

you're right, anyways i probably should have quoted the first post/question. no need to get personal. plus, im sure i could spin your head when it comes to history, either that or maybe you could keep up and we would have a good conversation.
...I wouldn't say that post is overly emotional at all. emphasis/capitalization and the use of words like fuck are used because it tends to make ppl pay attention and stresses points. and that point being.. after several years and careful deliberation -- i hate the man.
i never said anything about the self serving.. that was you, I didn't address that part. obviously. all presidents are self serving to a degree.
jumping to conclusions is for the righteous, not the wiked.

Emotive statements:
"catering to the interests of the far right and religous morals", "eat away privacy and civil liberties" "catering big business" "ruining modern trade" "rewarding the export of business and restructuring offsea tax havens" "destroying the enviroment" "going forward with a pre-emptive unilateral war that is now and finally admittedly based on false intelligence (though magically noone is responsible)"
a number of these statements indirectly imply self service.

i don't think the only reason people here criticize bush is iraq... there are a bazillion reasons why people ought to criticize bush, that i really couldn't be arsed to get into right now... as for the naacp, i'd be pretty pissed off at someone whose election win was aided by the fact that members of my ethnicity, whose rights and freedoms i was trying to defend, were blatantly disenfranchised like they were in many florida counties... what bleeding hearts! they want to vote! wwhat a silly idea...

what you just called emotive the world - and in many of the comments cases - bush himself - calls fact. and stop jumping to conclusions about me.. this hasnt expanded my points at all. if i wanted to do that the last place would be on the internet least of all here at xltronic. you asked a Question, remarked for opinions. I gave mine.
then again, its been pointed out to me that you're a troll and its hard to tell when you're actually talking or just posting to statisfy your adolescence. im through bothering, since you've yet to say anything that actually contributes to the discussion you started.

Where should i start? He has a good track record with the environment doesnt he :)

Equivocation bores me. :(
This is prolly why I found Bill Cosby's recent controversial speech so colorful. I don't know about Bush, but
I'm with someone like Donald Trump on this one: if you're going to think big and talk big, do bigger! *stretches hands apart*
