The work of he's a singer Bob Dylan is to be reappraised
following the discovery of a film which shows several of his
songs, including the classic 'Subterranean Homesick Blues',
being sung as long ago as 1947 by the singer-songwriter
George Formby.

Awesome films - great for an afternoon -- he was a whizz at
that banjo / ukelele hybrid!

he alledgedly invented playing a stringed instrument with
your teeth long before Jimi Hendrix did.

it was called "Nash-Banj" back then though.

I love watching TV from the 50's and 60s on PBS. All those
folk speicals and variety shows. Completely diffrent
zeitgeist than now.
