well, what do you like, the beats or the vocals?

if it's beats you're after, you may be interested in the
darker, heavier sound on the recent rephlex release 'grime'
(markone, plasticman, and slaughter mob), which isn't
strictly 2 step but is related to it; cross-file under
'dancehall' and 'fucking awesome dirty sub-basslines'.

i really, really like the dj maxximus remix of 'versace
armani vs mercedes bentley', which is available as a single
on warp.

if you like the streets vocals then maybe check roots
manuva, who brings some similarly british street musings in
a more straight up hip hop stylee. run come save me -
recommended.

hope that helps :)

new flesh are worth checking if you're feeling manuva.

the stanton warriors dj compilation (can't remember what
it's called but i think they've only got one) has got some
wicked garage/breakbeat shit on. it's party/driving music,
not much songwriting to it but fun to listen to.
