This is looking absolutely delicious. Finally, composition
elements have been added. *jizzes*

I know, I intend to pirate the fuck out of it and buy it if
it's good.

If anyone has a link to the beta peas email it to fleetmouse
at gmail dot com

I'm planning to buy it. I've dicked with a cracked Live 3
and I always thought "Gee if it had a step sequencer for
notes and samples, this would be all I need." Now its come
true, so I'm gonna shell out the cash for it. Only other
software I've bought was FL Studio.

You have to be more specific. There's trekkies here.

fleetmouse: He's thinking TNG

*Bump*
Im really giddy about this software. I wish I could preorder
and get some discount.
You can get a discount on the upgrade if you buy Live 3 now,
but I dont want to buy Live 3 if 4 is coming out at the end
of this month anyway

A point oh release is bound to have lots of bugs. Maybe it
makes every 200th computer explode. Maybe the sequencer
chokes on large note ranges with short durations. Maybe it's
a Nazi hypnosis machine. I'll spend some time with the demo
first.

Since I can't pre-order, I shall do the same.

Like the internal computer displays, the brown and faded
washed reds and muted greens and oranges, oblong in shape
with little minimal symbols etc

I hadn't got round to learning Live 3 yet. Might as well
wait for this release then.

I think this might come in handy, on a different note can
anybody give me a link to a bouncing ball delay please???

Wot u want is a granular synth. Nothing does bouncing ball
bearing on a glass table as well as the granulator in FL.

i think ableton does that effect the best overall (from what
ive used anyway), but FL's is definitely top.

i havent come across a good, free, VST bouncing ball-like
granular/delay effect yet. maybe buffer override but that's
just rather random and babyish almost. still pretty cool
though.

I just downloaded the Ableton 4 demo - *sigh* another
goddamn piece of software to learn - so far the new midi
sequencer looks okay... don't like it as much as FL's piano
roll.

yeah i downloaded it. could be better, but a piano rolls a
piano roll i guess, it functions just as well as any other.
also looks virtually the same as cubases or FL's or whatever
other program has it. its use of automation though beats a
lot to me though--none of this midi out dashboard assigning
knobs BS you have to go through just to automate a VSTi's
parameter, its all right there in front of you. cant wait
for the full thing.

maybe look into audiomulch? maybe?

offline disasemble from United States on 2004-07-17 15:46 [#01278928]

yeah, ive used it. years ago, i think its definitely good,
but i wasnt "feeling" the interface i guess. not that its
bad or anything, i was just into using other things at the
time. same with bidule. great programs, just dont know if i
want to sit down with them really. not right now anyway

I already have very specific use for the bouncing ball delay
and it isn't for that effect plus i really don't like fruity
that much.

Disasemble: I had a very good one, it wasn't granular
though.
Granular is overrated anyway.
