living on my own

So ive been living on my own for about a month now, with no
phone line, hence no internet. I sold my computer, hence no
PC games etc, but i bought an apple laptop to substitute (no
games).

Living on my own is awesome. I have loads of time to myself,
and i fill it all up nicely with all sorts of things that i
never used to do because i used to just sit on the internet
posting on this board or playing games online. Now i make a
concious effort to go out 4 or 5 times a week to see my
friends and family, and its much healthier. I only post on
this board at work now.

Point of the story is that theres more to life.
the end.

My God, you're right! There really is more to life. I can
see it now. Thank you for enlightening me and hopefully
everyone else that reads this brilliant piece of
motivational writing.

I'm sorry aphextriplet, but do you mean to say that you used
to think that there was no more to life than the internet,
this board, and playing games online?

of course you are correct, sir. you can't have spent all
that much time on here if you didn't expect a tirade of
sarcastic abuse to follow such an evangelising message
however.

there is more to life than this board, but there is little
more to my work. so i post here all day! but in the evenings
i engage in all manner of wholesome activities, running
around in meadows singing and suchlike.

:D

yeah i knew i'd get a load of abuse, i was kinda looking
forward to some witty comments. Still waiting ;)

Seriously though, i didnt think this board and the internet
was all there is to life, i just fell into complacency and
did fuck all with my time for the last few months. It took a
little shake up of things to snap me out of it. I say we
burn the internet to the ground.

then we can go sing a song about it, in a meadow! who's with
me?

So what do you think we'd have to burn down to destroy the
entire internet? I think it would be stored in something
secret, like a biro or something, to stop people finding it
and burning it down.

I've been living on my own for like 1/2 year now, and the
reverse happened to me (go out even less often and do
introverted things more). Internet socializing is the
best... introversion and socializing in one.

Living alone is definitely wonderful, though I've never done
it. I cherish every moment of every week that my family
spends away from me, gives me a taste of it. But, like wMw
says, it only increases my introversion, because then people
leave me the fuck alone and I can, if I want to, eat dinner
upstairs naked. I don't, but I'm just saying, if I want to.
I could.

The most important thing about being alone is listening to
music REALLY loud, because you can. I don't do it when I'm
not alone, it's just rude.

Do you just sit your naked ass down on your chairs? Don't
you find it cold? Or maybe you have nice flowered
seatwarmers like we do.

it's cold at first but if you sit down really quickly the
sensation is almost pleasant.

i plan on moving out next month after 6 years living with a
college buddy who's autistic...not recomended!

i can't wait to have my own space but the rent is gonna be
enomous compared to what i'm paying now..... its a
finance/piece-of-mind trade-off

first thing i'm gonna do is NOT have a tv...
