hello humans. i have some wma files i downloaded that i want to convert to mp3 (o wav, aiff... anything burnable!) and burn to disc. i have amadeus 2.5 (mac) and cooledit (pc) but amadeus won't open them and i don't know what sample rate to open them in cooledit. any suggestions? also it'd be easier for me to work on mac. thanks!

either burn them directly from wma or download them again. wma is the worst quality audio you can get. if you change them from wma to mp3 and then burn them to cd it will sound worse than an 8-track cartridge

This is for PC, but use the Winamp "Disk Writer" plugin to get it to a wav then just compress those as normal.

you don't want to re-compress them, burn them as wavs otherwise they will sound shocking
