Well with that strange brainwashing, it's no wonder you don't like 8000 bc. Seriously though, I havn't heard of eurhythmics but it actually sounds similar to an embarrassing thing I do. I use my body in various ways to make "freestyle" beats, such as farting. Seriously though, one thing I know I do, because I stopped to consciously think about it once, is get a wad of spit in my mouth and "play music" with it with my tongue. The range of possible sounds and rhythms is actually fairly diverse but you're controlling it directly from your brain in real time instead of fiddling through the "middleman" of a computer so it's much more possible to make beats the way you instantly imagine them. The problem in converting this to a computer is the acoustics inside one's mouth don't really travel well to a microphone. Another thing I do it tap desks etc with my hands, fingers and really hard with my face for the cymbol. Seriously though (this is the third "seriously though" if you weren't keeping track), it's sort of like dancing. I hate dancing in the conventional sense. I just mean maybe music is more intuitive or something when controlled with movement. Aphex's come to daddy tracks seem especially dance oriented. And he does dance like michael jackson quite well with his spiffy umbrella. Seriously though. |
