I am going to go to bed. I hope your day is as enjoyable as mine was.

i love this album one of my favorite cocteau twins definitely.
i agree ivo is fucking beautiful.
i saw them live about 7 or 8 years ago. one of the best shows i've ever seen. seefeel was the opener and he even did a few songs with the cocteau twins.

this is one of those 'older' groups that artists i enjoy list as influences that i just don't understand how they could like them.

listening now. I've got a lot of Cocteau Twins (besides other music) so it's hard to give everything a listen... Sounds good. I like the 'Blue Bell Knoll' song a lot. and 'Ella Megalast Burls Forever' from the same album.

it's great. it took a while to digest (i don't know why, it's very accessible and poppy) but now i can just live in it for days at a time.

Does anyone share a high quality version of the Mark Clifford remix of Wax and Wane? (Part two of the three-song Mark Clifford live remix set from the 1996 show at The Olympia in Paris, France)

victorialand is my favorite. it has no drum machines at all, and is generally very quiet and pastoral.
"blue bell knoll" is also a great album.
check mark clifford's four remixes (in radical seefeel style) on "otherness."
for me, the relentless mechanical drum machine ruins "treasure."
they have a ten disc box set of ep's that is filled with fantastic music, all of their singles ep's and some unreleased tracks.

those four remixes he did on 'otherness' are sublime.some of the best remixes i've heard.not your usual 'trash the track' shit;completely crafted and capturing the essence and mood of the originals.

i've got head over heels and blue bell knoll, i might have to invest in this if it's as good as you say. head over heels is incredible, i wasn't too impressed with blue bell knoll other than the opening track but it is starting to grow on me now.

I adore treasure. It's fantastic.I'm a massive fan of their really early stuff like "Garlands" as it's just so dark sounding.I'm off to buy these seefeel remixes if I can find them now! : >

probably the most accessible album is "heaven or las vegas" which is the first cocteau twins i ever heard way back 1995. the album "4 calendar cafe" is also very accessible, not quite as good but still fucking great.
my favorites are probably "victorialand" or 'blue bell knoll" but it is seriously difficult for me to pick a favorite, all of the albums have at least a couple tracks that i love.
her voice is so beautiful. when i saw them live, somebody in the audience shouted out "FUCK MY EAR!!!" i thought that was a very accurate, if a little coarse, description of Liz Frasier's voice.

i know exactly what you mean. i feel much the same way.
i fell in love with a girl a long time ago, and i think Cocteau Twins had a LOT to do with it. she had introudced me to this band.
