It's good, but I want new pixies to be exactly the same as
they used to be, yet completely different in some impossible
to articulate way.

exactly.

no change AT ALL, yet there must be some form of evolution.

and all of it has to be unique.

Is there some way we can get that request to Black Francis
so we can watch his head explode?

if I were going to release music I would always say they are
old tracks. Cause no one ever likes the new stuff.

hm...it's odd. i'm sure it'll grow on me.

yes it sounds like the breeders...but kim did write it.

i guess i thought "new pixies song" and immediately expected
it to be epic in some way...that's why it's funny that it's
only 2.5 min long and that's why i find it odd. it seems
trite, throwaway. but cute.

i love the pixies. see you in berkeley.

"For the past three years, writer Josh Frank has been
conducting interviews with members of the Pixies and their
affiliates, compiling an archive of material that he's
poured into his musical Teenager of the Year: The Frank
Black Musical, which is set to premiere this September in
New York City."

black francis is a wimp. he should beat the other band
members into submission, like he used to do.

I don't think it is supposed to be taken seriously.

At least I hope not.

acheavements?

I think if you genuinely like the Pixies, and not just
"Debaser", then you'll see it fitting quite snuggly in their
ouevre. It's a good Pixies track, better than some of the
old ones, not as good as some other old ones.

I didn't see them (60 semoleons to hear one band I
like? Fuck that.) but I heard there were a lot of problems
with the mixing and EQ. At least for the sucky peppers.

too much :)

it's a so-so track anyway, but i hope there will be a new
album (with plenty of kim deal's voice)

I think this is more promising, than e.g. the new prodigy's
song.
I don't dislike this, and I am looking forward to their new
album.
