i wonder if there's a netflix equivalent for the written
word. and i don't mean e-books. i mean they mail you a hard
copy and you read it and send it back. and i don't mean used
book stores. i mean.. know what i mean?

We have this service in my country. We call it a library.
(we also bury lions there)

i also didn't mean libraries, sorry i didn't make myself
clear. i was really hoping for something that was delivered
to your door. you see, i live where it is very hot, and the
library is very far away, and the air conditioner in my car
is very broken!

call the library and tell them you really want to read but
are handicapped. they are usually real nice and bring the
books to you.

hint: did you know that librarys have dvds now?!

Just buy the books, they are cheap enough.

they're cheap at the used bookstore, but their selection is
always so shit. anytime i go there looking for something
specific, i can never find it.

maybe they'll have this. i'll go tomorrow and see.
