well... it's Sweden's biggest I think...
A decision I made last week, since many of my friends are
going and my sisters payed half of my ticket as a
birthdaygift...
Lineup:

http://www.rockparty.se/content/festivalinfo/klara_artist...

Some crap, and some very interesting acts...

oooh! the roots!

those guys fucking rock!

I also see four tet is coming.. you should check out
recordings of his liveshows before you decide if you're
going, 'cause if you expect it to be anything near his cds,
you're in for a surprise. Four Tet Live.

you should be careful when mentioning peaches.. peaches is
also the name of a swedish group with two 14-year old girls
that make sucky-sucky techno...

"i en rosa helikopter, vill jag flyga hem til deg / i en
rosa helikopter, flyger jag gjennom stjärnorna"

bill_hicks : yeah I'll slip by his show atleast.

tolstoyed : yeah I'm checking out Drunken Mastah's link to
the four tet live set right now... and it sounds good!

Nobody recommends 2 many DJs? I was thinking about seeing
them... but they clash with Pixies (that I'm sure I'll see)
and when pixies is done, air's up so I'll probably not see 2
many Djs =/

yeah it's the "good" peaches... I'll watch her perform for
sure :)

btw I am not sure why they booked Alicia Keys - I mean it's
not really (this kind of) festival music...

I like some of her tracks, I think it'll be entertaining.
And I mean I get to see her for "free" once I pay the
enterance fee. Perhaps I won't watch her entire show
though... but probably I will :) I'm not very into Sahara
Hotnights.

aha... no I'm not into Alicia Keys. I haven't listened to
her much at all. She's kinda hot yes. But I don't think
she's festival material - but I don't know her music really,
so I hope she'll surprise me (if I watch her perform)... I
might see her cause there are no other interesting acts at
the time she performs, and it's only thursday (so I'm
probably not very tired yet).

the (for me) two first days when no bands are playing. Cause
then I won't miss anything geting waaaasted.

damn I'd rather go to japan and there'll be shitloads of
rain during the festival.
But I think I'll enjoy it.

I've put together some hardcore/gabber to bring yo!
Producer/Hellfish/Nasenbluten/Traffik/South of London/etc;
lots of industrial. Cause I was in that mood yesterday.
Hopefully some of it will be played before someone squashes
our newly purchased cheap mp3player to death.

This was one of the most awesome/interesting experiences of
my life... There was great music, lots of partying, and nice
girls.
There was also some crazy people and irritating moments, but
in a way it made things even more intense and interesting.
This was waaaay better than what I expected, and I am really
happy it turned out that good.
I just got home, and didn't sleep anything this night (and
very little the other nights), so I'll write the reviews and
tell the stories tomorrow.
peace all!

ok there are lots of stories to tell... but lets start with
the bands I saw:

PJ Harvey
Dillinger escape Plan (though only the begining of the show,
cause I didn't want to miss pixies)
Pixies
Air
2 Many DJs (DJ-set)

Ash (partly)
Soulfly (partly)
3 doors down (partly)
Four Tet
Sahara Hotnights
HIM
mono (My biggest regret on the festival was that I missed
most of mono's show cause I fell asleep on HIMs show...
aaaaargh. But the end of mono's show was great. I must check
out their music.)

Morrisey (but I didn't pay too much attention)
Broder Daniel
Gus Gus (DJ Set)

hard to say...

Most of them were great, but I can't really make good
judgements since my mind was druuunk during the entire
festival! Here are some comments on the acts:

(on day 1 [thursday]:)

PJ Harvey (21:30-22:45)
nice. I don't listen to her on a regular basis, but I've
heard some songs before, and she did a good show. She played
on the biggest scene.

Dillinger escape Plan (23:30-00:30)
I only saw the begining of the show. They played on the
smallest scene, but they were crazy. They jumped around on
the stage and played some great, fast music. I really liked
what I saw, though I couldn't make out any of the words the
singer was screaming. Lots of energy...

Pixies (00:00-01:15)
I left DEP for pixies, and they were great! Really good.
Frank Black have gotten a bit fat, and all members seem to
have aged... but they did a really good show (on the biggest
scene)! "Where is my mind" is still my favourite song of
theirs, and they had with very short breaks between the
songs.

Air (01:15-02:15, on the 2nd biggest scene)
Air was very good. They started out with some music from
their second and third album (I think) and some of their
soundtrack-songs, then in the end they played the "Sexy Boy"
and "Kelly watch the starts". One of my fav moments from the
set was the old tracks (they performed them very well), but
I also really liked "Cherry Blossom Girl".

2 Many DJs (DJ-set, ???)
They were suppose to play from 00:30-03:30, but from what I
heard they didn't (some other people I spoke to told me
another act was on at when they were suppose to begin). I
went to their DJ set after Air finished playing (around
02:30 or something) and then they went on til around 04:00
or even further... They played like house/electronica mixed
with rock/pop and some hiphop (with housebeats). I didn't
know many of the housetracks they played (or used for beats
on the pop/rock tracks), but it was good. But in the end it
was pretty much the same thing over and over. A goo

A goo =
A good set though. And a nice trackselection (They even
played some nirvana - with some house-beats on of course :)
I mean most DJsets are the same thing over and over, but it
was just that at a few moments they did played some more
experimental stuff, or did more crazy stuff with the mixing
than usual, and I wish they'd done that just a few more
times.
They kept me dancing.

btw, this is probably the peak happening of the year

but I doubt that I'll be having as much fun partying there,
as I did here.
