tolstoyed, polygonwrong > Einstürzende Neubauten made a track with the sound of a pencil (Die Explosion Im Festspielhaus), and another one with the sound of a cigarette (Silence Is Sexy)... just so you know =)
also "Read The Book That Wrote Itself" by Liars has the sound of a pencil as an important part of the track.
i like those sounds too, and lots of others... the sounds of trains coming or leaving a station, especially when it's an old train and when the sounds are very loud... the sound of breaking glass too... the sound of walking on snow... birds chirping in the morning... a metal ruler falling can have a nice sound when it's far enough to be not deafening...
sounds i can't stand at all include the sounds of noisy mastication nor of filing nails though.

(not the best track of the album though, but well, it includes cigarettes and silence.)
