Get it up you. There will be riots tonight. I love it when
those smarmy english commentators are lost for words.

Damn, was real fine game. Gerrard did a fuckup, and when
Zidane is doing his thing, thats what you get. But I kinda
hoped for England to win.. Football is so nice

Wow, Strange Times, you sound so uptight and petty and
little. And yet, you have an avatar from a David Lynch
film...

true, this is why i didnt want to lose against "them". :)

i would be happy england losing 10 nil to the vatican, but
this annoyed me big time. note the past tense though.

looks like Arsenal keep their unbeaten record. they earned
that victory

offline eric_hard_jams on 2004-06-13 15:13 [#01238391]
Points: 1986 Status: Addict

why oh why did beckham step up for the penalty, you'd expect
barthez to be able to read beckham like a book with the
amount of practice penalties they must have done when they
were both at united.

I allso was wondering why Beckham shot the penalty..

offline Strange Times from Now On on 2004-06-13 15:32 [#01238423]
Points: 203 Status: Addict

i was glad...i couldnt think of someone that i would rather
see miss a penalty than Beckham.

he didnt miss, it was saved. quite a difference.

offline Strange Times from Now On on 2004-06-13 15:43 [#01238455]
Points: 203 Status: Addict

Yes, but there is no one i would rather see MISS a penalty.
Saved is second-best.

no, you are wrong, there isnt much of a difference at all,
the end result is basically the same...no goal. the most
significant difference is that Barthez is a hero tonight.

offline Anus_Presley on 2004-06-13 15:43 [#01238456]

Strange Times - is it fun being so borring?

Points: 1986 Status: Addict | Followup to Strange Times: #01238455

the difference between a save and a miss is. a save is a
reflection of good judgement by a goalkeeper, whereas a miss
is a reflection of poor control by the person taking the
shot. the end result may be the same but the ownership of
fault is different.

offline Strange Times from Now On on 2004-06-13 15:50 [#01238471]
Points: 203 Status: Addict

we are all aware of the difference between a miss and a
save...why do you bore me so?

Strange Times: I hope you realise that Beckham has been
through hell before and come through it like a hero by
scoring a penalty against his nemesis Argentina in the World
Cup (which btw is much more important). If only you were as
talented as he...
