this is nice... I haven't heard his other album, Deadringer, but this one is nice... has a cool 70's, old school soul vibe to it in places, and a rock feel to it in others... tis a good album imo!

Yes it's OK. Not as good as Dead Ringer or The Horror though.

its fair enough saying it isnt as good as deadringer, but i think its a totally different concept to the first album.

bought this on Saturday cos I've seen his name quite a lot on this forum, not sure what to make of it really, I was after some BOC style chill but some of this stuff is verging on rock music (and this isn't a bad thing, just not what I expected).
I'll give it a few more listens (after I've deleted the vocal ones from my playlist) before I decide to swap it for something else.

it's really all over the place which makes for an interesting, albeit incoherent, listening experience. there's great stuff here, and then some i could really do without. if you liked deadringer, you should like at least some of this.

technically i think he shows real improvement. maybe he was using this release as a stepping stone to determine where he really wanted to go, and take his new found skills with him.

I wouldn't say better than Endtroducing..... but definitely better than The Private Depress.

He definetly has a style similiar to Shadow's, but I guess you can't beat the king... I've got The Horror Ep also, which has a bonus disc claiming to have a video for The Horror + live performance w/ Soul Position, but I can't get it to work on my computer... very disappointing.

'one day' is a catchy ass track. catches your ass completely off-guard. so funky and stuff. like an ass-catchin' track should be.

I love the vocal tracks... I think it's great... the weakest track for me is track 11, but that's even ok...

i've just listened to Since We Last Spoke... it's really quite unclassifiable, original, totally different from Deadringer —and still great quality. Rjd2 had already gained my respect with Deadringer, but i'm impressed how he managed to take such a different direction musically and pull it off.

june from deadringer makes me shed a tear everytime the guitar comes in.
i love this album it's one of my all time classics, since we last spoke is great for the first few tracks which have that "headnodding feature" in them.
oh and i also highly recommend his "the third hand album"
