sarchasm - the gap between the people who get it, and the
people who missed the point.

I'd respect your opinions more if they were your own and not
just slabs of text copy and pasted from the right-wing
press. Actually, I'd still think you were a cunt.

Kimmitt - the No 2 Pentagon man in Iraq, the bases are... "a
blueprint for how we could operate in the Middle East".

now that would foil their plans if the 'soverign' Iraq
government could get rid of all the troops and dismantle the
bases. Of course that won't be allowed, everyone knows that.

"Saddam, evil bastard, wrought misery on his own people and
his neighbours. Bush and his predecessors bring misery to
all sorts of innocent people on a global scale. It's just
that the US deals better with PR and marketing and that's
all that counts these days."

good point, however in this modern age its not so easy for
them to keep things secret anymore, for example the torture
by US soldiers in Iraq (which we are finding out similar
things could be happening in US prisons), the fact that the
US lied about many things to go to war, mini-nuke programme
in the budget for 2004, we know all this because we have
greater access to information. Its becoming harder and
harder for them to controll this. This greater awareness of
what is 'really' going on in the world will hopefully be the
downfall of the current government.
