This album is probably my favourite drum and bass compilation album released on CD. The Remarc tracks were obviously very good but the other tracks on there were also a high standard and the album seemed to me to be relatively ignored at the time it was released.

No, I remember reading quite a few articles about it when it came out. Possibly in NME... or DJ mag? They obviously had quite good press people as it was on a major label. Indeed a wicked album. Soul Pill remix is one of my favourite jungle tracks. But does your copy of that track start of dull and get progressively more trebly (I have the vinyl edition)? Check out the 3rd Party sublabel too - just as good as the kemet stuff.
There are also 2 japanese compilations of kemet 12"s on cd - well worth ordering from hmv.co.jp

I actually bought it after hearing a sample of one of the tracks playing on MTV's Partyzone (the original decent one), on the bit where they played about 30 seconds from bigger new releases. I seem to remember it being released around the same time as I Care Because You Do, because I spent every penny I had getting them and didn't eat for three days. Also I didn't have anything to play vinyl on either, so for about a year it was CD only purchases and just going into Unity Records in Liverpool to listen to the new stuff being released.
I will definitely try to get hold of the kemet 12"s though. Thanks for the heads up.
