Why don't we have a designated demolition thread?

I voted for brahms, because I have both of him. Please kick
my ass.

oh my god, typo.

"because I hate both of them"

no wonder I didn't post for weeks

I consider all of this a great success.

Practically speaking, there were many posts earlier on
indicating they didn't want anything to make it hard to
count votes, so transplanting the rampant violence here
could

nevermind

I think autechre are better

they have been in the last 5 years

1999:
ep7 >>>> windowlicker
+
peel session 2 (released in 2000)

2001

confield >>>> drukqs

2002

gantz graf >>>> nothing

2003

draft 7.30 >>>>> smojphace

well, the fact is 26 mixes and mangle11 were released, but
that still doesn't make the fucker better!

I think Windowlicker was an amazing release. Every tune on
there rocks my fucking dog house.

Confield vs Drukqs. Drukqs for me. That album just takes me
everywhere.

Gantz Graf is a wicked release. I really like dial.
(Is the DVD cool?)

Draft 7.30 > smojphace, I like Draft better.
But who cares what year it comes out in?

yes, the dvd is cool.

and on the years - it can be interesting to see then the
development that autechre have gone through.

in case of AFX, you're right, it doesn't matter.

They're both predictable trash compared to the combined
forces of Lennon and McCartney.

Both afx and autechre have a great number of excellent
tracks; they both care about large scale structure in music,
about having many layers; they care about minute intracacies
of the sounds utilized, etc. etc. etc. What made me vote
for afx is primarily the fact that his output is so
diverse--he has a great mind, which is not satisfied unless
it covers a million topics, and does all excellently. I
think the desire for diversity is of course reflected on the
small scale as well..

the sense of humor is nice, too.

1997:
envane+chiastic slide >>>>> come to daddy
+cichlisuite

1998:
lp5 >>>> nothing (caustic window eps were released in the
early-mid 90s, so the compilation was released in 98 but I
wont count it)

1999:
ep7 >>>> windowlicker
+
peel session 2 (released in 2000)

2001

confield >>>> drukqs (ok I admitt this is really a matter
of opinion)

2002

gantz graf >>>> nothing

2003

draft 7.30 >>>>> smojphace + mangle11

I dont count 26 mixes for cash cos its a compilation of very
old tracks

dividing your opinion into smaller bits of your opinion
unfortunately only proves what you feel, and provides no

no its not

its a comparison year by year since 1997

I know that before 1997 aphex was in great form... but that
was so long ago, I just wanted to show what one and other
have done since then

and sorry but there is no real comparison, autechre have
grown a lot since 1997, while aphex is everyday further from
his good days

nacmat just proved to everyone who reads this thread
why r. brown and s. booth obviously are better than r.
james,

THANK YOU NACMAT !

please, comparing records put out by two different artists
release date by release date to be able to tell wich one is
'better" is very pathetic...

there is no better .
