On 8th June 2004 a transit of Venus will be observed from
Earth when Venus comes directly between the Sun and our
planet and it will be seen to move across the bright solar
disk.

Transits of Venus are only possible during early December
and early June when Venus's orbital nodes pass across the
Sun. If Venus reaches inferior conjunction at this time, a
transit will occur. Transits show a clear pattern of
recurrence at intervals of 8, 121.5, 8 and 105.5 years. The
next pair of Venus transits occur over a century from now on
2117 Dec 11 and 2125 Dec 08.

hi Venus, how are you?

elusive > nice pics!! especially the first one, i like how
it's not just a little black circle over a big white circle
like most pictures (it would just have made me want to
scratch the sun to remove it, i find that totally
unimpressive unless you see the actual planet and not just
the little black spot over the sun)... =)

Uzim, you should see that same image thru a telescope.

Quite mind boggling.

You kinda phase out when looking through it.

So desolate. So remote.
