It's funny how people tell vegans to shut the fuck up and
then care about news like this. If this is news to anyone
here, maybe you should start listening to what people have
to say, instead of ignoring them cause of your prejudice or
whatever.
I am not directing this to anyone, I am just making a
general comment.

in it or not. It causes phlegm buildup and can lead to

I just read on that site "moderate alcohol consumption

mounting evidence [shows] that it protects against diabetes

I like my steaks quite rare anyway so a little blood is
bugger all

Plus I only ususaly drink UHT milk, and I think that's
treated anyway

But looking at it, wouldent this mean that any dairy would
have blood in it?

There's nothing wrong with blood and pus in the milk. If you
drink milk, you've been drinking it for ages, and it still
hasn't hurt you! I hate it when people try to make people
stop doing something by intimidating or freaking them out by
pointing at certain things that exist that people doesn't
know exist but still do.. if you catch my drift.

Thanks for the sarcasm Marlowe. Believe what you want. I'd
be less inclined to believe what I see on a website, and
continue to enjoy my breakfast cereal, living healthily as I
have for the past 24 years.

" Milk causes 'serious illness for 7m Britons' " Yeah, it
does for lactose intolerant individuals who cannot breakdown
milk. Maybe we should start banning wheat and nuts too,
because it's dangerous to those few individuals whose diets
cannot handle them.

As for the blood and puss... please. Like I'm going to
believe claims like this coming from a pro vegetarian
website. I'll wait for some real news regarding the safety
of dairy products, thanks.

Now, I'm not saying that there's NO truth in that article;
but (as other people have rightly pointed out) Peta is
hardly likely to produce an objective report on a subject
like this.

True. I saw an interview with some senior PETA woman and she
tried to come across as moderate and reasonable, but she
couldn't quite keep her zeal in check and let some stupid
comments like "animals welfare has to be our #1 priority,
above all else" (what about humans?!) slip out. You have to
understand their sole aim isn't to protect animals in the
sense of preventing cruel/unusual practices like animal
abuse, dancing bears, etc. but that their whole agenda is a
daffy vegan one.

And re: the milk issue. It's still unclear as to the
effects- a lot of the "research" done on the matter is
by/sponsered by pro-vegetarian/vegan groups or by companys
that produce alternatives such as Soy milk etc. Hardly
impartial...

re: Blood. So what. You think there aren't traces of blood
in all meat products/eggs/anything that has been in or on an
animal, ever? I like my meat bloody, it's not a good steak
unless it bleeds when you bite it. We're omnivores (I'm
talking about humans, now- not 50,000 years ago, according
to some shady apocraphal research), we have incisors!

crazy people in politics crack me up!

like, we just got a law banning smoking in (inside, not
outside (you can sit outside, enjoying your beer instead of
inside if you HAVE to smoke)) bars and pubs and stuff..
yesterday, there was a debate-program on TV where the
smokers wanted to "stand up for their rights," and there was
NO fucking consistency at all.. like this one woman who
first claimed that the smokers were being banned from
society, and then, right after, told this lady with astma
that she could go somewhere else if she didn't like the
smoke.. she said it like it was easier to cure astma than to
stop smoking, and all the other smokers said the same.
Stupid people, smokers!

I'm sure they would be dead set against animal testing even
if it was going to find a cure for AIDS. In some ways
they're just as bad as the things they try so desperately to
oppose, it's just one extreme and the other really.
