But she's NOT crazy.. she'd like to think she is. She one of those appalling people that prides themselves in being 'different'. Saying calculated obscure things in order to revel in how misunderstood they are by all the 'normal people'. But she is normal, and boring, and shallow. I went to university with a girl like this. She would constantly try to set herself aside from everyone else; play the victim of a closed-minded society. But ultimately she was insecure and had very little of any value to say. From what I've heard and read about 'Kitten' - she strikes me as a similar individual; someone who never made it past the teenage-futile-rebellion stage. I'm not going to be watching Big Brother this or any other year, but if you are, please do not be fooled by this woman's self-styled posturing as a revolutionary. She's a lost little girl who's read too much Neitzsche, Marx, Greer and the autobiography of Che Guavera.. That's assuming she reads books. Perhaps she's just another hobby-revolutionary, who picked up what little they know about oppression, power structures and anarchy from a colour supplement in the weekend papers. |

Big Brother equals the downfall of (what was left of) society and overall suckage. Precisely. Just be thankful that these kind of people won't be walking the streets for the next few weeks. Not only that, but the kind of people that obsess about this show will be camping outside the BigBrotherHouse for at least 2months. It might make it a little safer to venture outside during the day. At least until it's all over, and they're all released from the sick grasp of the show. I actually think the whole thing is a government ploy to stop the British public complaining about the weather. If everyone stays indoors watching this dozen nobodies do nothing 24hours a day, then no one will notice what a lousy summer we'll probably have. The flipside of it is that, if we are lucky enough to see the sunshine for more than a couple of days this year, everyone will be indoors watching BigBrother & therefore the number of individuals developing skin cancer (around 67,000 p/a) will diminish. |

You're partially right. Especially in the beginning of BB there was a LOT of media attention around it. It did make me curious so I watched a few episodes. I came to the conclusion that it is empty wank. Apart from a few 'juicy' rows 95% of what I saw (but I could have been unlucky and only saw the boring parts, which I doubt) were boring, uninspiring conversations. |

I watch because I find developing group dynamics interesting. i find it interesting from a sociological point of view.
