From the website (: ”Perspectives 2004. Festival for Creative Music” Så kallas den festival, som den 21 24 oktober 2004 kommer att gå av stapeln i Västerås. Huvudtema blir mötet mellan frijazz och avantrock, sidotema mötet mellan orgelimprovisation och frijazz. Festivalen arrangeras av Nya Perspektiv i samarbeten med Rikskonserter och Västmanlandsmusiken. Övriga bidragsgivare är Stiftelsen Framtidens kultur, Västerås stad och Landstinget Västmanland. Lokaler för festivalen blir CuLTUREN, Västerås konserthus och Västerås domkyrka. Huvudansvariga för festivalen är saxofonisten Mats Gustafsson och Nya Perspektivs producent Lennart Nilsson. Programmet beräknas vara i huvudsak klart i början av år 2004. |

well, three of the five members of sonic youth are playing there in other bands, apparently, so i wouldn't be at all surprised if sonic youth played as well... that's even cooler! |

actually... the festival might not be free, but it will be cheap. The regular concerts they have are free for students. |

anyway i'd recommend you wear ear protections! don't take the risk of getting tinnitus and other ear problems, some can last forever... (you already know that, but still) |

i did very short interview with SY last year but i also spent over one hour talking with jim o'rourke, about baby spice, merzbow, alanis morissette drums & coco hayley gordon-moore. maybe i'll come but i'm nos sure in two things: time & money keep in touch. key_secret, post on this topic please if some news are in. i know more than half of artists above mentioned, i've even seen at leat 15 of them. i recommend this.! ps yr 24 hours topic was funny...i did taht without trying...but i entered once...to the mouse on mars gig! |

I am yet to check out r40f's recommendations, but I will check all recommendations when I have time... which is after tonight; when there is no more school! |

$500 isn't that expensive (for such a cool box), but I haven't got the money (nor the interest, yet). I am yet to listen to his albums.. but I am really looking forward to seeing him live (I have seen taped liveshows with him, and they were cool)... |

I would like to help, but I don't know the name for it. It's quite pleasant noise (not whitenoise)... quite aggressive. the stuff I listened to didn't have much drums... it's kinda like ambient noise (the stuff I heard). |

Some I know who is a big noise fan went along to the melbourne show and said all it was, was 2 laptops no visuals and 1 hr of the same noise tecniques. So, in other words he thought it was boring as fuck! |
