i was just wondering if anyone knows of any free programs by which i can convert music files back and forth... i'm pretty sure musicmatch can do .wma files but i'm looking for one that can also do realsystems media files (or whatever the hell they are called... they are the files you get when you rip a cd in realplayer...)... i'm getting sick of all the incompatibility problems i've been running into recently...

Difficult to do really. One fairly universal way is to use winamp's diskwriter plugin, that way you can get any file winamp can open to a .wav, which obviously you can then convert to whatever you like. But as for realmedia, I think they're pretty tight about converting their shit.. I wouldn't advise ripping stuff in that anyway. Use eac and lame.
