i dont know if this is of interest to anyone, but last
night there was the 3rd annual noise festival in my town. it
was pretty neat, im not into noise much and it wasnt until
just a couple of days ago that i knew i was going to do
something there, although i had been planning to go to
watch. i was on at the beggining, just for almost 20
minutes, i had fun, but dont think i did as well as i would
have liked to. i hadnt dont anything in front of people
before. let me know what you think if you listen to it. it
is not musical at all, and its not as noisy as a lot of the
other acts, there were a lot of just loud staticy drony
stuff...anyways...

Thank you Dennis C Pearce. Your work as an Xltronic Poster
is quite excellent and top notch. The bringing of other
worldly (canada) music to earth is greatly appreciated!

I consider noise music as it does wonders at times and in
moderation. Sometimes i listen to Timehunter and i like it
and it sounds good. But sometimes Ryoji Ikedas "Time 3`33``"
just isnt right.

noise made by people is music. the sounds you made are
music.

i like this piece - it's rather interesting. what
instruments did you use to make this? or was it on a
computer? this is a really good track.

canada has a noise festival? that's awesome - i wish i
could have gone.

r40f - thanks for listening, the performance was sort of
three parts, they are pretty distinct, the first is 9
minutes and the other two are about 5 minutes each....that
file is the whole thing though
it was a computer i was using, with a hardware midi
controller so i was using knobs, buttons, sliders and
keyboard/mouse instead of just the keyboard and mouse....
im sure there are tons of noise festivals in canada, this
was just here in my little town. it wasnt a really big
event, but the turnout was pretty impressive....
as for the track itself though, yeah it is interesting , i
have hundreds of live to harddrive recordings sitting on my
computer, just from fooling around in my room, some are
really great, a lot are a lot better then this track here
though, i have been thinking about actually trying to create
like a cp/ep whatever rather then just fooling around....i
dont know if that would involve layering/cutting up live
recordings ive made or what, or just pracising a certain
track....im not much for composition/sequencing or anything

i should have maybe broken it up into three parts, if you
are interested the second piece starts a 9.30 and is a
synthesized mettalic-type percussion thing, the third piece
starts at 13.30 and is wierd tonal stuff with a bit of
human voice samples...
the first one, is glitchy pitchy stuff with some text to
speech involved
