you order on a regular basis? what's the service like? are
they cheap/expensive? and what do they offer? seems that
they are also selling a lot of shit.

nacmat: do you know c8.com? they've got some samples/vids
from addictrecords for download, o and can you sell me your
giant alien force?

I would order more ofthen if I purchased vinyl (which I
sadly don't at the moment)... But they're good.
I'm into hardcore so that's what I the site for, mostly.

I don't really know about this guy. I heard two tracks, but
they may have been from the early 90s 'cause they sounded
very early 90s and boring, but he may have made good stuff
that I haven't heard... I don't know.

most of his stuff doesn't sound 'up to date' really.. when
it comes to mixing/production.
He programs drums is what he does.

something else...

no, it was venetian snares, but then it was just him,
sounding very 90s in the 00s.

I've got a problem - there is a song by Venetian Snares
which I have but can't find it on two mp3 discs. Didn't
check the name when it played - i remember a woman says
"turn on this muthafukkin rhythym 'cause we're ready" and
there it begins, the thing for which I like Venetian Snares.
Who knows the title?

Some of his stuff are all right. But the names of his songs,
the "scary" lines in the songs, and a lot of the covers are
just poo....

i dislike snares cuz i'm tired of all the drill n bass and
amen mashups..the "scary" samples and "sick" covers on his
albums are just cheesy, like he is trying to hard, if he is
trying to be sarcastic i dont get the point of it. i also
dont like the fanboys that go rabbid and declare him as the
new messiah for a new track that goes
bleep-bloop-clang-brrrzz-bang-bang, it's not his fault he
has these fanboys, but i associate it with him.
all the drum programming goes over the top and the melodies
are weak and if he has a nice melody going on it is all to
often ruined by some neckbreaking percussion...wow, that's
so wild and original...
and releasing a handful of albums a year, makes me wonder
if he has any quality control at all....
my 2 cents

reasons.

I THINK EXACTLY THE SAME ! Some Vsnares construction are
really nice but now i'm bored with many of his songs.

I don't think his 'scary samples' and covers are supposed to
be serious, I think of them more as come-to-daddy-ish
humour.

but still; "come to daddy" isn't about laughing, it's about
being aggressive.

not really. just because you can laugh at it doesn't mean
it's funny... I am serious. The music's too straight to be
laughed at, the video is funny yes, but it's cause it's
surreal (and awesome, of course)...
but the music is just agressive, nothing else.

that's the album i dislike the most of snares...chocolate
wheelchair is maybe the one i dislike the most...

well..as i said, i dont get the humour of the his 'scary'
samples and the cover art of his albums...i just think they
are silly in a cheesy way

programming was amazing, I got HIGGINS ULTRA LOW TRACK GLUE
FUNK HITS 1972 - 2006

haven't really listend to much new stuff.

this topic really didn't need anouther post added, but I
wanted to check out my new avatar, and I haven't said
anything in along while woot!

I didn't say it was 'funny' exactly... I guess its more
ironic. I WANT YOUR SOOOOOOOUUUULLLLL isnt *funny* but its
purposely cheesy isn't it... kinda taking the piss out of
that whole 'scary' stereotype. And Snares certainly takes
the piss a lot, even if he seems to be serious, the horse
and goat cover for example is clearly not to be taken at
face value :)

i like his venetian snares because winter in the belly of a

and its very refreshign to see an artist bring a bit of zest
into such a....i can't think of the word...
such an anal area of music

I don't really feel that "Come to daddy" is a pisstake... I
mean it's only if you think about it [the fact that somebody
yells "come to daddy"]... but I never think it's funny when
listening to the track, and I don't think it's intended to
be either.

Well yep I said that 'funny' was wrong. I just think there
is a touch of irony... it makes sense really, if he didnt
have it, the song would disapear up its own arse. :p
