I think this is one of THE worst shows in the world.

You think academia would discourage/prohibit this sort of
thing. Lecturers are always bitching about their low
wages/not being taken seriously. With shit like this, is it
any wonder?

eggs."

Hahahah!

That's nearly as good as the degree in David Beckham!

I'm just really speachless.

They say in the article "people are put off by the name" no,
Im put off by the shitness of it. I've (sadly) watched the
show, on a few of those late nights, and you are flicking,
and nothing is on.

Its shit.

"It's a badge of honor," said Wilcox, adding that the
feeling is similar to a central theme of the show. "The main
characters are outsiders. Others are looking at them funny,
but they know they're doing the right thing so they do it
anyway."

I absolutely ADORE Buffy. I thought it was oddball and funny
and moving. However, today's "critical" academics have an
annoying tendency of studying the recent past as though it
were Shakespeare and Homer. Guess what boys, we don't need
you to tell us what The Simpsons tells us about the present
because, duh, we're living in it. In a couple of hundred
years people (or intelligent cockroaches or dolphins with
legs) WILL need footnotes to follow it, but let's not jump
the gun, eh?

When Wilcox first heard the show's title, she thought "it
would either be stupid or the anti-stupid. Within the first
few minutes I realized how wonderful and clever it was."

Better than going about blowing up bits of other countries -
that makes me want to puke.

I like the original Buffy, with Kristy Swanson and PeeWee
Herman. Sarah Michelle has a weird nose, so I could never
get into it.

Yes, for prejudiced people who occasionally cast a glance at
it and switch channels, it seems like it.
