The Doulbe Life Of Veronique

I saw a piece of this on tv just now... it was well into
the movie, and also dubbed in italian, so I haven't watched
it in full... just what I caught for a moment... but jesus
the music grabbed me. Has anyone seen this movie/have the
sound track?

I looked it up and the composers name is Zbigniew Preisner.

The piece I heard was when the woman is performing at a
concert, and she collapses. It was so beautiful! (the music,
not her collapsing)

I need to see this movie/get the soundtrack even if just for
that one piece.

that movie is pretty cool as i remember it... i haven't seen
it in a long time though... it's by Krzysztof Kieslowski...
he also directed the Trois Couleurs trilogy (you know,
"Blue", "White" and "Red"), and the Decalogue... he's pretty
cool most of the time...

yeha i saw this mid last year at uni, and from what i can
remember it was really beautiful (musically and otherwise).

I wrote it down in my films-to-get text file. I might look
for it this weekend now that you remind me.

:)

eh? do you mean that the composers name is "name surname,"
(which would imply that his name really is anonymous), or
are you just stating that zbigniew is his first name and
so-on?

Kiezlowsky that dirty old man.
I can see him sitting behind the camera jerking off to his
18-year-old-arty-girl-with-beret french actresses.. And even
for that "Bleu" is a lot better than "Veronique" (Juliette
Binoche, yummy..).
I guess Bertolucci beats him in the dirty git department
tho..
