jsut finished watching this movie, and I truly think it's
one of the most awe inspiring action movies I've ever seen,

basically the movie is set in a future world where emotion
is outlawed and it follows the story of a "cleric" that
fights to keep anything that stimulates human emoition well
away form any human contact, the plot is highly dramatic but
pulled off VERY VERY well for the extreme siuation that the
movie puts you in, and then there is the action scenes

I beleive that noone has ever done a gunfight justice, they
are such a usefull weapon but every uses slow exaggerated
movements and mostly the gunfight scenes lack and pace, but
just let me say that the fighting scenes are like the
venetian snares of action movies, they are SO FUCKING
AWESOME, I don't thinnk any movie has done better action in
a movie EVER

go out and hire this movie, it is brilliant.

Matt.
Refund.

I personally thought it was a horrible, horrible,
horrrrrrrrrible film. Gun Kung Fu indeed, makes me shudder
just thinking about it.

But that's just me.

bit boring though...

I thought it was a rip off of Fahrenheit 451 and Brave New
World, but I could be wrong, its been a couple years.

oh shit. i thought this movie was laughably bad. there
wasn't a single new idea in the whole thing save the hand to
hand gun fight at the end.

i bought this movie before i'd ever seen it based on
comments such as those in this thread. if anyone wants it,
i'll sell it for $5 plus shipping. seriously.

I'm used to watching independant films, these ideas are
really hard to pull off, and you'd more than like get put
off by the cheesyness of it all, bu if you can get past that
it's a solid film with solid acting and awesome fight scenes

you're absolutely right!

everyone should try watching 415farenheit, reading 1984, and
THEN watching the movie again. Not a SINGLE ORIGINAL THOUGHT
EXISTS in this movie!

plus, that gun-kata is one of the most flawed, rigid
martial-arts I've ever seen!

i watch the movie once. i didnt liked it.
too much pathos, too much copying from old sci-fi books
about controling your life, etc, etc.

fake sword fights are too stupid to believe its actually a
martial art.

AND, the moment where two guys wantwd to shoot themselfs,
but no one can coz of the hand moves, my god, that was
horrible, so fake so fake.

It's very predictable. And what fucking interesting can be
in a predictable movie? READ THE TWO EARLIER MENTIONED
BOOKS, and check out the Nineteen Eighty-Four movie, notice
when they were published, then think what fucking original
is there in Equilibrium.

should go and watch that.
