Out of Season is a masterpiece, just listening to it now,
its on par with Portisead, maybe even better. I think maybe
she should keep doing solo albums and collaborating with
others if the results are this good instead of doing another
Portishead album

Me, too. Mysteries seems to be the best song on the album.

Although I really liked a couple of tracks, I always found
Portishead a bit limiting as an outfit. You could lift the
best tracks from both records to make one largely decent
(albeit short) LP.. Which is a pity. Each member of the band
is incredibly talented in their own right; but when they
come together they only seemed to be able to produce music
of a certain register. They weren't particularly dynamic;
which undermined the strength of their best tracks.

All just my self-opinionated chuntering though. I may well
be wrong.
Heard a couple of tracks that Beth did with Rustin' Man &
liked it. Ought to hear the whole album really.

i love this album. it gives me inner peace, it's so quiet
and beautiful. it makes me happy and sad at the same
moment.

my favourite is sand river.
