holy shit these guys are pretty sweet...

for just a sweet kind of psychey acoustic pop sing along,
check out this year's Sung Tongs

more percussively driven, check out last year's

Sung Tongs is fucking awesome, very summery and fun. I was
gonna make a thread about it a while ago but I didn't
because I am a stupid idiot.

just a few hours! you should all be ashamed of
yourselves...!

but seriously now kids... if you want a one up on your
snobby rock friends, go listen to this album... because all
the critics will be telling them to before the year is

"Sung Tongs" is unbelievably great. You really have to
listen to it on a set of good headphones to hear all of the
shit that's poing on in that record. Dense.

Just a reminder - Panda Bear has a double album coming out
tommorrow (September the 28th) entitled "Young Prayer".
Apparently it was recorded in the room his father recently
died in. I'm going to pick it up, so I'll try and post my
thoughts on it. Mang

Ok, I finally heard the new Panda Bear record and I think
it's fucking great. NOT a double album as I heard; it's only
about 30 minutes, but that's 30 minutes put to perfect use.
Extremely intimate and sparse record that sounds (as it was)
like it was recorded by one guy in a room. Pitchfork
actually got this one right, if you can believe that.

The band is really great live. See them if they come by
your city in November.
