Does anyone else think she's kind of lost it recently? I've been dissapointed with the last 2 cd's she's put out. Scarlets Walk was too long and too 'safe', lacking the experimentalism of Boys for Pele and much of her earlier albums. Not just her music, but her artwork has been really poor lately too, it seems like she just doesn't care as much as she used to. Also the new DVD is censored, and on one of my favourite songs as well. I really hope her next album is amazing, its really a shame to see artists as amazingly talented as her mellow with age and lose their creative, experimental side. (Bowie amongst others) Is it just me or do others agree? |

she getting older her style is changing, she well onherway to complete mommyhood i like the new 6 song cd a lot, havent had time to watch the dvd yet, CENSORED ??? what song is censored, oh her own dvd ? thats tragic if not completely stupid watched part of the interview, she still thinks outside the box thought |

yeah i know, i'm sure she'll come out with something amazing in the future. Are the tracks on the cd ones that didn't make it onto scarlets walk? Professional Widow is censored, its probably due to marketing and DVD rating. Still, the live DVD is amazing, i watched it in the cinema last week. I'll definately be buying it, although the artwork is crap imo. Think i'm going to design my own DVD sleve for one of my final Graphic Design projects. |

i dont know, i dont think they are. the 6 songs are better than b-sides im guessing all new writtings great song ! ill have to check the dvd tonigt to see if its censored on mine, i wonder if they just did it for the cinema showing ? maybe... yeah there is little to no artwork in the dvd, its still worth it though, if not for the 6 songs alone |

it's much better than Stories.. and I really disliked Stories.. after loving each and every album before that. if you like the cover, the cover of the "The Letter" singles are good too - drawn by PJ herself. |

i thought scarlet's walk saved her as a favorite artist of mine; absolutely loved the album after being disappointed with everything since boys for pele (choirgirl was okay) on the dvd she sings like shit. her pronunciation has gotten more annoying. |

Hmmm Choirgirl is my favorite by her You cant beat Liquid Diamonds or iieee and yes while Scarlet's Walk is a bit more safe than Pele, I dont think there is anything wrong with that. I think the only thing that she has released that was just alright was strange little girls Have you ever seen her play Live, in person (not watching a DVD?) |
