Come to Daddy live

Murray from England on 2002-01-07 10:25 [#00066851]

Aphex Twin should do a one off with playing come to daddy
live and get Slipknopt to play with him as well. How fucking
cool would that be. And Aphex and Craig (Slipknot's
keyboardist) and Sid (Slipknots DJ) could all fuck around
with Mt Saint Micheal + St Micheals Mount

corc from new zealand on 2002-01-07 10:29 [#00066852]

no!

corc from new zealand on 2002-01-07 10:29 [#00066853]

no.

borix on 2002-01-07 10:40 [#00066855]

Yes > no.

Korben Dallas from _ on 2002-01-07 11:03 [#00066857]

yes != no!

Korben Dallas from _ on 2002-01-07 11:05 [#00066858]

that should have been the other way round

no != yes - [where the != is meant to be a 'does not equal']
- ok that went a bit flat. :|

Murray from England on 2002-01-07 11:07 [#00066859]

oh come on, it would be good, think of the mayhem

Murray from England on 2002-01-07 11:07 [#00066860]

think how much more mental come to daddy would be

borix on 2002-01-07 11:08 [#00066861]

I meant that I agree with the no thingie.

Just say NO to Slipnot.
(And yes to GWAR)

Korben Dallas from _ on 2002-01-07 11:14 [#00066862]

Borix - thought you meant the yes out weighed [>] the no !
:)

borix on 2002-01-07 11:31 [#00066866]

I thought that the > would give problems (written
communication is fucking primitive) but I meant was yes I
agree with NO.

Fuck it. I'm spending too much time on this nonsense anyway
(to me it is nonsense cause I don't care, just wanted to say
something). Back to work.

titsworth_courier from washington, dc on 2002-01-08 10:24 [#00067245]

YES OH YES! slipknot/afx collabo would be epic! haha. i love
this review i read of iowa, calling it the first mainstream
death metal album. i don't listen to the radio, but from
what i understand it sold really well w/o having a radio
friendly single this time. k00l.

dingle berry from on a small plastic chair breathing fire on 2002-01-08 12:03 [#00067265]

slipknot = big NO!!

Murray from England on 2002-01-08 12:29 [#00067271]

YES!!!! Someone on the MB that agrees with me, Slipknot and
aphex would make a great come to daddy track, it would rule,
think about it though seriosuly.
The guitar riff would double its distortedness, the bass
would be louder, there would be 2 percussonists giving it
their all and one kick ass drummer with a dj putting
original samples into the song, and the synth guy that could
be standing with Aphex Twin helping him with the mental drum
breaks samples, and not to mention Corey screaming down the
mic "I want your soul" and think how heavy it would be when
its just the screaming bit. That would rule. LONG LIVE
SLIPKNOT AND APHEX TWIN

Fernz on 2002-01-08 15:10 [#00067321]

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO........

able to record this fucking cool mix in studio!
AAARGH!!!

nancykitten on 2002-01-08 21:09 [#00067422]

DubleOSyx from The East on 2002-01-09 00:02 [#00067474]

I liked Slipknot first album, but fuck them. Did you know n
some interview I read somewhere they said the only reason
they make music is to make money. Those fuckin sellout
little bitches.
Aphex would be bettter off using brittney spears than
slipknot, but then it would be just shitty instead of
stupid...

wayout from a plastic bubble on 2002-01-09 00:34 [#00067493]

um...i thought the point of come to daddy was to make fun of
death metal..so i kinda doubt aphex would want to have
anything to do with slipknot ..or any of their ilk

titsworth_courier from washington, dc on 2002-01-09 00:49 [#00067503]

the slipknot guys have a sense of humor, and i bet they even
like afx, they're believe it or not really anti-mainstream.
but think what you will...

Aminal from toronto, canada on 2002-01-09 01:27 [#00067512]

noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
ooooooo!
how could anyone w/ enough sense to like aphex twin possibly
like slipknot?
i have a feeling that all the posts in support of the idea
are from teh same person signing in as different names..

Naphex-Male from Vancouver, Canada on 2002-01-09 02:21 [#00067519]

Chris Ochre from www.electronicscene.com/ochre on 2002-01-10 15:20 [#00068059]

Like Ken said.

Slipknow are not Death Metal BTW. They're a boyband, like
Linkin Park.

borix on 2002-01-10 15:28 [#00068061]

Then how about Man'O'War and AFX?! That would RULE!

Murray from England on 2002-01-10 17:04 [#00068088]

Does/would aphex even do "Come to Daddy" live?

corc from new zealand on 2002-01-10 22:37 [#00068213]

john zorn + aphex. that would be something I'd like to hear

Ceri JC from My house in Pontypridd, Wales, UK on 2002-01-10 22:49 [#00068216]

He's (AFX) said he doesn't like it (Come to Daddy), so I
doubt he'd play it live. Still, I'm just hypothesising.

titsworth_courier from washington, dc on 2002-01-11 03:28 [#00068266]

you people are all so full of yourselves. leave your
computer rooms and go out in the open sometime, there's a
lot of interesting music out there that is non-electronic.
it doesn't need to be 400+ bpm programmed onto a drum
machine to be brutal. take slayer for instance, who i love.
i don't love slipknot, but i like them alright. as for the
idiot who called them a boy band, obviously he doesn't know
anything about their music, only their popularity with the
youth demographic. to the person who mentioned kroq, i live
in dc, i don't get kroq. from what i understand they play a
good deal of music on there that other stations don't touch
until they make it popular, which is why so many songs debut
there. but really i stopped listening to the radio long ago,
and this is not a boast as it's fine with me if someone
enjoys what's on the radio, and that includes ANY type of
station - from "alternative rock" to top 40. however, i do
read about music all the time and from what i understand the
new slipknot sold really well without a vaguely melodic
single like "wait and bleed", and yes, iowa IS a mainstream
death metal album. i'm not saying it's the most brutal thing
i've ever heard, but it's not radio friendly either. you may
think that because they have had one (or two?) songs on the
radio that they are mainstream sellouts, but they're
actually a very credible band. they do what they want and
always have. with the success of their major label debut
they could have watered down their music to appeal to a
younger and more mainstream demographic, but they decided to
make an album even harder than the one before. hats off to
them. and if you think i'm some kind of crazed slipknot fan,
i don't own a single one of their cd's, and you can see for
yourself.

http://howisya.tripod.com/cd.html

so to back up the guy whose idea it was, i still think
slipknot fleshing out "come to daddy" live w/ richard would
be fantastic.

nancykitten on 2002-01-11 07:00 [#00068314]

no no no no no no no..

titsworth_courier from washington, dc on 2002-01-11 07:14 [#00068316]

what, too heavy for your ears? :) it'd sound like the
closing minute and a half of nin "i do not want this"

awt on 2002-01-11 07:23 [#00068320]

Slipknot will not be able to make Cometodaddy any bether.
Please what should they do?
aphex is the nigga to play CTD all slipknot can do is try to
find the right rythm in the song and then start swinging
their silly masks

titsworth_courier from washington, dc on 2002-01-11 07:49 [#00068332]

geez, you people in this thread are such closeminded
muthafuckas. i don't think the point was ever that slipknot
could make the song "BETTER", it'd just be interesting and
fun to see aphex on stage w/ them doing this song. i think
it'd be hell of a trip. not only do most of you lack a sense
of musical exploration (which is shocking considering the
artist you all claim to be devotees of) most of you don't
seem to have much of a sense of humor either. lighten up,
metal can be just as fun as electronica. i'm sure ricardo d.
jaime would find the idea to be quite a trip.

borix on 2002-01-11 08:55 [#00068350]

How about AFX and Spinal Tap?! Woehoe, that would be great
cause they can go to 11.

borix on 2002-01-11 09:15 [#00068357]

Mmh... but seriously. AFX and Brujeria could give a strange
and interesting combo. :D

Come to La Migra! Come to La Migra!

titsworth_courier from washington, dc on 2002-01-11 10:08 [#00068375]
