When you stoop to hatin' the worst of a genre, it's time to listen to something outside that genre. Listen to some nice classical or jazz. I've been listening to Evelyn Petrova, a Russian accordion player and singer. For lack of a better description she's like a cross between Tom Waits and Nina Hagen with modern jazz/classical/something else accordion music. Her songs wander all over the place almost like Max Tundra, catchy and unpredictable - it completely defies categorization. Refreshing. |
