nacmat

In fact nacmat is the sole reason this thread can't work

yeah, but i think nacmat admitted that if it wasn't done by
aphex he wouldn't own smojphace... so that's pretty much an
admission that he didn't like it if you ask me.

lol

I dont think I hate any release... cos those I could hate I
just dont have them nor listen to them...

but some I dislike:

I dislike the type of releases that are just the same as its
predecesor for example:

the album roni size did after "new forms", it was exactly
the same, even the same number of track was for similar
tracks in concept and sound...

last album by moby wa sthe same but worse than play

last chemical brothers also

esperanza by manu chao is the same as the better
clandestino

and in idm: I can find the good thing of plone: for begginer
piano

I like it

it relaxes me a lot... I like to sleep my naps listening to
the ktpa tracks

I like how the sound is and how it flows

I think Analogue Bubblebath 5 blows, except for the 1st
track....which sounds like Teletubby porn music.

The Linkin Park electronic remix thing. I assume we all hate
it.

I agree with Darian Griffith, Mood Bells is pretty bad. And
Smojphace exists only to be bad.

very good. thank you for your response.

so, just out of curriosity; if an unknown artist
released an entire album that was similar to kpta1, would
you buy it?

Track 8? That might have been one of the tracks I didnt
bother to listen too....maybe I should find my burnt copy's
and listen to it.

but where did I say that I didnt like it?

I would and will buy anything I can by aphex.

would have I bought smojphace if it was by an unknown
artist: probably not, as I am not into noise music

but is that incompatible with the fact that now that I
bought it I like it?

I like it

did i ever say you didn't like it? :)

it's just weird that you listen to it even though, as you
say don't listen to other noise music, or you probably
wouldn't care about it if it wasn't afx.

well, i don't blame you...i bought it as well...and i don't
even listen to it.

i really like smojphace & i bet ktpa won't be the last
'noise' trx afx will release ; i don't like royal astronomy
by µziq: some good melodies but the production is pretty
poor (ktpa have no melodies but pretty strong production)

the first 4 tracks i had of cylobotnia sucked. smojphace is
the worst thing ever released. my little sister makes better
music fooling around in reason, honestly.

as a matter of fact magic window is better than smojphace.

I take smojphace as a little experiment

even though its not an experiment cos other artists already
worked with noise, but it was an experiment for richard as
he had not done it

i bet they selled more smojphace releases than, let's say
spokes or do you know squarepusher albums.

well... I dont know we were (and are) hungry of new aphex

maybe it would have been a good idea to have included mangle
in the smojphace ep

it wouldn't quite fit there imo...mangle was actually a very
good tune :)
but yeah, he could easily put it there.

he's probably the best at keeping his fans interested...as
you said above, we all get so hungry for new stuff, that we
probably think of it even higher than it actually deserves,
when it's released. not that he doesn't deserve all the hyp
he gets :)
