..before I die or go to the pub or something...

It's only a quick 42 second peice with some new percussion
thing I am working on with some effects...I am pretty
chuffed with the way it turned out actually :D

Anyway snapshot

Sorry for insisting on posting these short pieces.

Thanks for your patience.

Me.

Happy pub.

Awesome. What label are you on? Whats your name? When's the
album out? Your other stuff is excellent too. Is this done
in MAXMSP? Did you learn it yourself? Is it expensive? Sorry
for all the questions, but well done!

Your kind words make up for the fact that the pub was
completely (and I mean completely) empty. :_

This is probably my favourite of your wee clips. Those pads
work a lot better with the new percussion than with the
beats you were using in max1.mp3, and the texture is as good
as ever. Don't change a damn thing. Yummy.

I just make music I like, there is no trick...anyone who has
used Max will tell you that it's not just press a button and
stuff sounds this way, which is the impression I think some
people seem to have. Instead of just making music I spend
hour and hours trying to figure out techniques and stuff.
When I feel I have everything in place and feel confident I
will make full length tracks.

It's still not the way I want it to sound...so I will just
carry on working, but I think it is hopefully a step in the
right direction :D

just listened to it:

it leaves me wanting more... so thats a good sign

but be careful, eventhough you have a nice melody and good
beats there, you need something that mkes it interesting for
more than 40 seconds... you can do a great track out of
this.... a 5 or 6 minutes track, but then you ll have to
play with your elements and see how they enter or go into
scene

liked it of course

"it leaves me wanting more"

just what i think every time i listen to any of his
stuff...im not even going to bother downloading anymore,
untill we get to hear full length songs :)

hey man, once you know max to where you are comfortable, i
highly recommend start working on actuall compositions,
melody progressions, chord changes, verses, chorus', stuff
like that. But judging from this shorty, you seem like you
have the whole production/sound crafting thing down pretty
well...

Like everyone else has state, this sounds mega deluxe good.
You could always wieve these smaller pieces into one long
piece or something.

That's the problem I have. I like the contrast of the
synths on the short peices, but when I try to lengthen them
it does end up being mre than a little crap. I need to look
into proper melody making, chords and progression I think.

I've considered that :P

The problem I have with that is that I start to feel a bit
of a fraud(?) because it's not like producing a full track
in what I have thought is the normal way.

No body REALLY likes short tracks...they are OK to listen to
one or two times but they aren't the type of things that you
would listen to over and over again.

Big I have a little loop I made but forgot to save which I
would like to dedicate to you. biguptobig
