Seriously man, put alberto balsalm on there. Maybe "i" from
SAW85-92. Gwely mernans, too. What kinda music is she
usually into?

offline Fuckwagon from Dallas (United States) on 2004-05-18 13:21 [#01194060]

yeah i kinda skimped on the older aphex twin stuff. i think
i'll add polynomial-c though . . .nice one

oh yeah i didnt put alberto balsalm because i just put that
(and on, too) on the last mix i made for her....

melack - Hexagon is track 7 off of disc 2 of SAWII

p.s. She likes things like coldplay, norah jones, latin
music, progressive house . . . but she claims to have a
tabula rasa of a mind right now as far as readiness to like
new music . . . this will be the fourth cd I’ve made her
in as many months, so she’s starting to like more things.

i'd throw ziggomatic out of the list. i think it's a wicked
song, i just think it's for the more 'advanced' aphex twin
listener.

throw SAWII [lichen] in there (i think it's the most
beautiful song i've ever heard) and caustic window 'on the
romance tip'.

i agree with deepspace9mm, alberto balsalm has to be
included!

if she likes it rough, throw come to daddy pappy mix in
there!

I disagree about the zigomatic, seen with un tainted eyes is
just as sweet

ahap ok thank you mr wagon!

yap definetly alberto balsalm is a basic one...

my girlfriend likes go plastic and he really really love sp
live in tokio...

yes yes alberto balsalm WOULD be on there, as would on, if i
hadnt just sent them to her on a different mix last
month...

ziggomatic is on there just so i can sleep better knowing
she owns it, i dont think she'll like it. but it's my
favorite aphex track.

i'm telling her though it is compulsory to own the cd, she
is only required to like half of them.

p.s. albetro balsalm - that must be quite an honor, for rdj
to have named a track after you!

ziggomatic is one of my g/f's fav aphex songs, women can
like good music, its just people with shit music taste that
don't like good music.

It is possible to convert people to drill (read:
ziggomatic17) on a first listen. I played my girlfriend
vordhosbn and some SAWII and the next week we were at a
squarepusher gig together.

My advice is stick with some melody, but don't shy away from
aphex's more experimental end. You might be wise to leave
off the kpta tracks for now though :D

why?

it's the bomb

i still remember loving that track from the Pirelli advert
when I was younger, but I never knew who it was, or even
realised that it wasn't just a track composed specifically
for the advert

Throw "Cow Cud Is A Twin", "On", "Arched Maid Via RDJ", and
"Acrid Avrid Jam Shred" on there and you should be fine.
