it's amazing what you can do by setting your desktop to a
virtual webpage and writing your own scipts and rules for
the desktop, you can do so much more and it's so easy! here
is an example of waht I've done, I have links to all my hard
drives on my computer (refund) my other computer (uss 31337)
and I have shortcuts to all my games, and websites on hand,
it feels good to finally break free from the constraints of
the windows desktop,

Imagine the possibilities!

nah, I just thought of it myself,

simple stuff like remembering to make a background image,
and to have the "open in new window" command set to whenever
you need toopen a program, because otherwise IE start top
download the program you are trying to run ^^

jere's a copy of the html file I use

target="_blank"

having that line in the href is essential if you're linking
to a program to open, otherwise it tries to DOWNLOAD it fomr
your desktop

and yes this was an excersice of boredom, but the results
have been positive and I've had nothing better to do with my
time,.. so it's hardly a "waste of time" you negative cock

:D

you could use litestep to modify the entire windows shell.
I've done it once. although I removed it again because I'm
just to much used to the old windows desktop

use LiteStep for full desktop and shell customisation

it's the bomb

i used it ages ago on my PC, and there's a huge theme
community for it

Times New Roman is the IDM of fonts.
Quickly dismissed and underappreciated

cool, you're doing the left side start bar thing, ^^

hope you stick with it, people have a tendancy to have these
things for like 3 days then change back,

I know I'm certainly not! this rocks beyond all beleif, and
it's not lagging my computer at all!

how the hell is LiteStep unstable???!!!

I used it for about three years, and never had one problem
with it!

The newer versions ARE unstable. They're quite buggy. I
think they rewrote or something. First time I used it was
fine. I tried it again recently and it was awful. REALLY
slowed down my computer and made it crash a couple of times
and ate memory like a whore.

ahhh

i thought it was just Virtual PC being a bitch, because I
had tried one of the more recent builds.

As I say, I used LiteStep for years....first heard about it
around about 1999 or something I think, maybe eariler. Back
then it was really great. That's a real shame that it's gone
downhill :(

Dont get me wrong though. Its a cool app. If only it was
SOLID and didnt eat up as much memory though.
