I think that people who say that people that think tattoos
are for idiots are idiots are idiots themselves. That's what
I think.

I love tattoos.. they're alot more interesting than our
boring skin.
I love the uniqueness!

" #11: TATTOOS. Let's be blunt (for a change). Unless
you are either Polynesian or a sailor, tattoos are for
idiots. For Polynesians, it's a centuries-old tradition
that is strikingly beautiful. It's a centuries-old
tradition for sailors too, although, like those other
centuries-old naval traditions - rum, sodomy and the lash -
naval tattoos are not particularly beautiful. For everyone
else, it's stupid. You might as well wear a sign round your
neck that says "I'm stupid", an observation that has been
confirmed by a recent study at the University of
Connecticut: they discovered that the probability of a
person being tattooed is inversely proportional to the level
of education achieved. As a follow-up, they could correlate
the frequency of tattoos to the frequency of smoking
cigarettes. August 7, 2003.
"

Sorry, it's true.

All of it.

HahahahahahahahAHAHAHAH. Uniqueness my fucking ass. How
many thousands, millions of people have a cool 'oriental
character' tattood on them? How many girls have a cool
tattoo on the small of their back?

It's a fad. It's all there is. It's just another fad that
by falling into, people feel they are differentiating
themselves. Bull. Fucking. Shit.

please read again: "the probability of a
person being tattooed is inversely proportional to the level

of education achieved."

It's the exact same as people being creationists. Granted
some very intelligent people with PhD's are still
creationists, the fact remains that the likelihood of being
a creationist varies inversely to the level of education.

there are stupid people with tattoo's and stupid people
without tattoo's, there are intelligent people with tattoo's
and intelligent people without tattoo's, the fact that "the
probability of a person being tattooed is inversely
proportional to the level of education achieved." says that
people with a level of education achieved have less tattoo's
then people in a lower level of education, it doesn't say
anything about tattoo's being for stupid people, imo the
more educated they get the more stupid they become

I want a tattoo... but I'd be VERY careful to get the right
thing in the right place... some people get take tattooing
too lightly I think... it's permanent, well basically...
unless you have thousands of dollars to get them removed...
but something that was very special to me and had a lot of
meaning would be cool... like if I had a kid, the kids name
would be a nice idea for a tattoo... shrug...

people should stop bitching about what other people decide
to do to thier bodies. it doesnt affect you in anyway, and
just makes you sound like close minded assholes.

It's probably just the angle of the photograph, but it looks
like those wings aren't the same size. The right one seems
to be pointing more downwards than the left one too. I don't
know if you meant you would get the tattoo-artist to exactly
trace this one, or that you just want the symbol of a star
with wings... but I'd make sure it was perfect before
getting it done. I like the image though. And it's obvious
the word means something special to you... so I say go for
it.

yes
that essay about it does kinda reflect what i think about
tattoos though, as being stupid and not original. if you
think they're cool you should just go for it though.
everyone i know with a tattoo i do respect for it, it's more
prejudice against the people with a tattoo i dont know
you know?

no I just wish people would be a little more intellegent,
then to judge others by personal decisions they make, that
do not affect others.

If you dont like tattoos, fine. But dont try to sit around
and preach about how people that have them are somehow worse
people for doing it.

Its just completely ignorant.
