Just saw this movie today, I recommend it to anyone if it's in theaters around you.
It's a documentary about this guy (perfectly healthy) who decides to only eat McDonald's food for 30 days, breakfast, lunch, and dinner; nothing he consumes, including liquid, can be bought from any store other than McDonald's. He gets preliminary checkups and blood tests before, during, and after the experiment, and the results are shocking; he gains about 25 pounds, his blood pressure soars, his liver gets filled with fat, and his mental health is generally shot to shit.
It's a pretty humorous movie and he really gives a lot of insight into the whole obesity epidemic in America and how kids are getting hooked into it. It's also pretty frightening to imagine how McDonald's affected this guys health, and then to realize that there are many, many Americans that eat almost as much as he did as a regular diet.

i also heard that whenever he was offered to 'super size' an item, beverage, or gelatanous mass of fatty tissue rapped in stale bread
he was required to say yes.
btw i love fast food it's delicious because it's covered in things that my body doesn't need, and can't efficiently remove from my system
cheers!

i'm just curious because while i do not argue that mcd's is healthy one cannot dismiss the factor of eating habits and not just what is consumed. for instance, the percentage of mcd's patrons that have their meal supersized is probably much higher than the percentage that really need the extra food.

although the movie sounds interesting, it's kind of silly.
it's kind of obvious that mcdonald's isn't healthy. also, most people don't eat mcdonalds for breakfast lunch and dinner every day. it would be more accurate and realistic if he did something like one meal a day at mcdonald's.

The after effects are pretty obvious.
There really is a much bigger problem though. McDonalds is only part of it.

i'd wake up and eat things like appitizers. Pizza rolls, motz sticks etc etc. That was my worst moment. I didnt really want to dick around in the kitchy... breakfast time was the worst.
Regular dinners semi regular lunches. No fruit and hardcore lack of veggies.
I dont drink milk.
Usually hardcore beer (which i am giving up i decided) and water (to recover) and pepsi with breakfast, lunch and dinner

my two cents:
fast food nation and supersize me both cite an American obsession with fast food as the problem with the chronic obesity that's so common there. while it may be the case that there is such an obsession and over-indulgence in this shitefood over there, i think it has an awful lot to do with the amount Americans eat.
When anyone from my school took trips over to America, they always came back stunned in disbelief at the size of the portions of food you guys eat. I think when you're bred on that, with it surrounding you, it's obviously going to be difficult to shed the mentality and escape the culture. So you have "morbidly obese" people.
I'm not saying they don't pop up in other places, but they do exist, in far, far greater numbers (even when compared to total population) in America than anywhere else.

Yes, more is better in America. It's probably more to do with processed foods, though. A number 1 meal at Mcdonalds isn't really that large, but it's loaded with calories.

Anyway, everyone knows that fast food isn't good for you, they just eat it cause its convenient...
I personally told my friend that he gets to kick me in the nuts the next time I eat at McDonalds, so...

pepsi > coke any day!
also the beer is traveling into a centralized location (my belly) and then it sits there. Due to me being inactive it went from being slender to being a little gut. Not even a cool manly gut but like a skinny kid that drinks too much beer gut.
Beer is removed whilest i get healthier. Its the only way!

beer led to my lazyness. i could park it at a bar all day. Usually did. No meals because they took up valuable room for drinking and eating usually sobered me up.

swears, I agree, but I do feel the gov needs to regulate what shit goes into food. I don't want as many chemicals in my Big Mac as there are in my Ciggs. Or atleast require full disclosure of what is in the food. Cause they would make hamburgers out of teflon if it was cheaper. This movie really proves that fast food isn't food.
