i have been waiting SO long to do this!!

I didn't actually burn the disc, because I don't have any
blank DVD-R's, but the disc image worked perfectly :)

oh don't worry - i'll be using that muchly - i've got three
CD's worth of application backups, so this will come in
handy :)

images of discs.

as in they are a single file which contain everything the
disc contains, like a mirror image of the disc except it's
not mirrored.

disc images are files that are stored on the hard drive that
represent a storage medium, whether it be a hard disk image,
cd image or DVD image
