...what? When he holds up the head you can see the streams of blood falling down, but after a few inches you can't see it since the video isn't good enough to catch small drops falling quickly. |

Okay. Did you also see the video where he is alive and says his name and where he is from? I guess it's possible that he is sitting there dead in front of them, but he doesn't fall over. "Not a sign of struggle". He can't do much when he's all bound up and a bunch of guys are holding him down. It also takes about 15 seconds of cutting if I remember, so most of the blood is probably all over the floor, but the contrast is too bad to see in the shadow. I was going to watch the higher quality video again, but it's unavailable now from www.homelandsecurityus.com. |

I'd say it was real. There is a strong possibility that he would have suffered a heart attack before or as the knife started to cut. This would lead to the absence of gushing blood. They found Nick Bergs beheaded body as well didn't they? What do Al-Queda or whoever have to gain by a fake video? If it was exposed as fake they would lose the respect of the people they are supposedly fighting for. |

97%+ of the public will never see the video, all they are aware of is that a man was beheaded in a bit of a brutal way. The method of killing seems brutal, but in text form it doesn't sound much worse than the emotive language that has been used int he media to describe the conditions in Iraqi jails. |

The video is supposed to be a direct response to the treatment of their Iraqi brothers in jail. Hence the timing is probably about right. It sounds to me that people who can't handle what they have seen are looking for excuses to either explain away the images, or the concept that humans can be so evil towards other humans. |
