Until a month or so ago, I was computer tech support for
Hewlett Packard, but they pulled their support out of Cape
Breton so I found myself without a job. And I also found
myself insanely happy, and content with life, and that's my
situation right now. Until next month, when I expect to get
another job.

I work for an electronics company.
we make RF signal generators, spectrum analysers, microwave
system analysers (radar/satelite test systems), mobile radio
test sets, large PCB test machines, avoinics test
equipment,etc.
there is also a calibration and service centre on site, but
I don't work there.

Oh my God yes. I have spent every spare penny that I earned
not on education, but on electronics. I know how to enjoy
time off, a bit too much. Good luck slaggin' off the slop.
And be sure to introduce large amounts of laxatives into
your final slop pot.

I've been out of the work force since January, and I feel
happier without a job. In reality though, I gotta find a new
one starting this week, if I want to stay in college the
next couple semesters.

Sounds like Zeus, Doctor Awesome, and afxNUMB are blessed
with the fun jobs. Congratulations! = )
