this was supposed to be my followup to bogala: He did give the speach at columbine. if you go michael moore defends what the movie showed. he also admits that the "cold dead hands" quote itself was taken from a denver t.v. ad and not from the actual speach. But he does post the video and the whole transcript of the speach. Michael Moore also refutes a lot of other bogus right-wing claims about that movie in this message. |

it is not about Bush specifically but rather about the lies told to the world and the American public to get us into a war for the profit of a handful of corporations. The Bush background that is included is more relevant to this specific story. this is one place where F 9/11 is a better movie than Bowling for Columbine. THis film has a central thesis and everything in the film is in support of that thesis. It is a very focused movie unlike Bowling for Columbine which is more general about it's premise. |

Not that Moore doesn't have good points. I like his films. They're entertaining, (docs are my fav) but they are often not the whole story..I can't look into the heart of everyman. I don't know bush's true motivation, but in the spirit of America's past. I imagine he's trying to spread democracy in a theocratic archaic middle east... Like we tried in Vietnam. It hurts. It's risky, often doesn't work and probably won't again. |

Its not that internationally people obtain a point of view about America through Mike Moore who is a component of popular culture but America leads globalistation (a right wing invention for colonisation), he is barely scraping the surface and I think its what he get away with. Unfortunately we get the most inane rubbish from American Media outlets shoved down our throats on a daily basis misinforming us about worl wide events, like Voice over America on our local public access, mainly ethnic channel or 2020 which tells us about rich old Americans cloning their pets or babies or using ECT treatment to make a person into a genius or an master painter by giving the treatment another name and the reporter undergoing Electric Shock treatment for the story. Every day on the news the CIA is plotting to bury the stories of the abuses at Abu Ghabib, starting with the beheading of David Berg at said prison, well documented on the net. If we are a bit confused we know you are not all crazy :) its a media blitz and Mike is putting the shits up Bush which he deserves for lying. |

How could this be propaganda when it is well documented, open source (in CIA terms) on the net. Have they found the weapons of mass destruction? What do people know about the Carygle group, Haliburton, and Betechel, all on the net - corpwatch.org and others - just decode it. Propaganda could be defined as taking one point of view of a given situation and is well used by the mainstream media so Michael Moore is simply taking the piss. The censorship is in place so you only hear one point of view every day so if Mike is doing it, it must be wrong. |

Well documented on net and I havent seen the movie yet so it better live up to what I am expecting from it but knowing the facist country America has become I seriously doubt it. We have been given 1 single screening at the film festival late in July after the propaganda machines have buried it and dissected it but it will appear later as our monopolistic amerian owned cinema will be dying to make a killing. |
