New Prodigy album finished

30th April 2004

hey neko --- the new prodigy album is finished!
we got 11 possibly 12 fist in the air traks .
it sounds sinister, electronic, trashy, sexy and fresh to my
ears.
this album is about reminding people what the prodigy was
always about---the beats and the music.
the vocals on this record are mostly used as an extension of
the sound rather than the main focal point.
like jilted , keef and maxim were'nt involved musically and
they are not on this album. ALL 3 of us will be together to
do what we do and play this record live and rock it later in
the year, we cant fukin wait!
you will probably begin to hear stuff early summer and the
new album will hit in august. yeah -- more news to follow
soon.

"if i was in world war 2 ,they'd call me spitfire!" Liam
Prodigy

i can't fucking wait to hear this thing

they took their time, this better be good indeed.
(especially with him triumphant, holding his cd and praising
it as "sinister, electronic, trashy, sexy and fresh"...
reminds me of Trent Reznor with the new NIN album, same
attitude... these guys must like to make the listeners wait
and think they're awaited like messiahs or something -_-)

wait and see.
i only have The Fat Of The Land, but it's one of my
"essential" albums.

ElectroMuse > i like your avatar... and your profile comment
too - f#a#infinity sounds so much like a soundtrack to the
end of the world to me... it's an album like a movie,
almost- a sad and strange one, in black and white...

Music For The Jilted Generation was my first electronic
purchase

will Baby's Got A Temper be on this one?

That track was... okay I guess... but nothing really special
imo. I certainly wouldn't call it "fresh" either. It sounded
more like an outtake from the breathe/firestarter era. Oh
well. I'm still curious to hear their new album :-)

I don't think it will.
there was an article earlier this year where they said they
wanted to do something different (andI think the Baby-track
is more like 'Fat of the land' than the new stuff)

'my new album' (pic)

sounds quite full of himself.. i know he deserves full
credit, but he's still in a 'band'.

better be good indeed.

To my understanding, 'Baby's got a temper' will not be on
the CD. I read an interview with him a few months ago and he
said that was a one off to let people know Prodigy were
still around.

Am i the only one that thinks the fact that Maxim and Keith
have not partaken in the production of the album is an
excellent thing? They didn't help with 'Jilted Generation'
and i think that is my favourite Prodigy album. I respect
Howlett alot and thank Christ he has made the album after 7
long years.

Someone on this board said something so painfully true and
hillarious about Prodigy, it was:

"7 years? That bint from All Saints must have one hell of a
cunt on her to occupy that man for that length of time"

"Is this the album that is made in reason 2.5?"

liam said in an older interview with neko that basically
reason saved his ass, since shortly after the "fat of the
land" he got bored of the way he used to write tracks. a
friend told him to try reason and the guy started to write
music again. he had sequenced all the tracks for the new
album with reason and used a lot of reason modules. he still
used analog synths tho-- mostly for bass sounds. IIRC post
production was done on pro tools.

I heard he was using Reason 2.5... I think Baby's Got A
Temper was from the first version of the album that got
scrapped because it was shit.
